we loved our stay! perfect for what we needed. close to the canal for a stroll about to streach our legs after a long drive. we had the best nights sleep. will defo be back again!

We received a very warm welcome from Fiona when we arrived, the ‘check-in’ was smooth, clear and friendly and we immediately felt at home. The house is exceptional quality, located in a beautiful spot, drivable to local villages and also well located for easy motorway access. All rooms in the house are really well appointed with plenty of space for our family, including kids. We appreciated the little touches Fiona added, such as home baked goods, jams, eggs and chocolate. The house was perfect for our long weekend in the area, and we fully recommend this house to others - we would certainly like to return again.

Perfect in every way! The Chicken Barn was in a fantastic location for walking - with routes literally on the doorstep. The accommodation was great - it was clean and well equipped. Communication with Linda was easy. We enjoyed our stay so much we’re planning on booking again!

We really enjoyed our 6 night stay at Little Barn, it was super! A beautiful surrounding of green hills and trees made it a very peaceful stay... the sunsets were very special. Everything inside the cottage was perfect and David and Beverley were very friendly, approachable and happy to help with any questions I had.

We really enjoyed our stay at Brow Farm. The views from the cottage are absolutely beautiful and the cottage itself was very cosy and comfortable. Though surrounded by amazing countryside, the cottage is a very short walk into New Mills center - so perfect location wise. The hosts were very friendly and we would highly recommend.

This place is so beautiful, I’m really glad I chose it for my wedding eve. We were surrounded by gorgeous animals - sheep, lambs, hens and even deer in the morning. The place is so light and spacious with everything you could need including fresh eggs! Susan was really helpful, accommodating and very responsive to messages. Thank you for a wonderful time, your place is amazing.

Absolutely magical stay! Sarah’s Airbnb exceeded all expectations. The private lake was serene and perfect for morning coffees and evening strolls, and the hot tub under the stars was the ultimate way to unwind. The scenery is absolutely stunning—pictures don’t do it justice. And we can’t forget Wilson the cat, who made us feel truly at home with his cheeky little visits (and his “presents”)! Every detail was thoughtful, and Sarah was a fantastic host. We’ll definitely be back!

The place was so cute I honestly can’t fault it. Easy to book, beautiful and private enough for us to have a great weekend. Will be going back for sure.

If you want to get away from the city while still being close to it… this place is it. Cute little “den” on a farm. You are out in the green, great views of the city from the hills. Just horse farms and meadows around though 😇 Chris is very friendly and helpful and a great host. The place itself is simple and efficient, like a tiny house.

Thank you our family had a lovely stay in your house. The house was as listed. Lots of interesting activities for our 2 year old and also for the adults in the group. The kitchen was well equipped and provided everthing we needed. Hopefully we will come back again. The Alpacas in the nearby field were an added bonus!

We had a fabulous time staying for a hen weekend, despite a tiny problem getting the keys we got checked in quickly and Becky had left us a lovely basket of goodies to make our stay even better. The house was perfect for what we were looking for and suited us down to the ground. Becky was a great host and was very responsive allowing us to fix an error on the boiler/heating system very quickly and easily without disrupting our plans, hopefully we’ll be back to stay again!

Wow!! What an amazing stay we had at the Granary. The location is like a picture postcard, surrounded by fields of sheep and horses. Cliff the host was amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful. Kitchen had everything we needed, bed was so comfy (I’m 6’3 and get back ache but non from that bed) large bathroom and great shower. His 2 dogs Woody and Arthur were welcome visitors and we have had an amazing, peaceful and relaxing 9 days. Sitting outside watching the wildlife with no other noise was so tranquil and will definitely be back. Thanks Cliff and it’s a 10/10 from us :)

We had a wonderful family stay over Easter weekend. The property suited us perfectly, providing plenty of space for the number of guests in a very comfortable, peaceful and practical setting. The views of the picturesque Cheshire countryside are delightful, we enjoyed spotting rabbits, pheasant and the local cats in the opposite fields. The garden was also a great size, again with plenty of space for all to enjoy. The astroturf meant that when it did rain it dried out very quickly so there was no need to worry about a muddy lawn. The location is brilliant!! A fantastic National Trust property, easy countryside walks and a traditional, cozy country pub right on its doorstep step. What more could you want!! Matthew was a brilliant host, with great communication and detailed instructions to ensure an easy check in. Would highly recommend the property and look forward to another stay in the future.

We live in Australia and wanted a place close to our family to spend Xmas with. We stayed at Cliffs place for a month. It was absolutely beautiful. I was worried we’d find the large open space too cold for us Aussies but with the under floor heating it was always so comfortable. We had been dreaming of a roaring fire surrounded by snow and stunning views and that’s what we got. Cliff was always available for any questions and help and very friendly giving advice of local country walks and places to eat. I couldn’t recommend high enough we will definitely be back. We had a lovely weekend - the location is truly peaceful and relaxing and the instructions on how to get there were comprehensive and clear. The interior is comfortable and clean, we loved the mezzanine design which made it feel very cosy. There were thoughtful amenities and the kitchen was well equipped. Would be a great base for walking in the area and we'd love to have spent more time there, highly recommended!
