Roaring Fork Chalet Long Range Views Mt Mitchell

The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

The Snookmore is perfectly located just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Asheville. Just hop on the Parkway and have the Appalachian wilderness at your beck and call or mosey on down to the hottest town the South has to offer. Its only neighbors are ourselves and our other rental house, the Snookery. Note on Helene: we were very luck in Snookville with a lot of downed trees, but nothing structural. There are still outages, but the generators keep the power on.

Our beautiful A frame home, with a mid century modern feel, is tucked away in the rhododendron and birch trees of Beech mountain. We’re Located off the beaten path of the town yet really close to Beech mountain club and Ski resort. ( 5minutes). The Ski lifts, restaurants, hiking, golf, and everything Beech Mtn. has to offer is minutes from our door! Our peaceful and spacious home is 1800 sqft of soft natural light from large Picture windows and is cozy in the winter with two fireplaces.

You’ll go back in time to this homage to the 70’s ski chalet lifestyle! With 3 acres to explore and plenty of games, puzzles, and other distractions, any group will think it is “Dy-no-mite” without being over the top. There is a queen bed in either of the bedrooms and a full pull out couch to choose from for sleeping.
