The Forge is a great place for cyclists and walkers, or if you just want to get away from it all. The Cornish Coast is not far and the city of Plymouth full of history is just a short car journey. Tavistock has the markets and lovely cafes and restaurants. The Forge has a log burner to snuggle up next too on those chilly evenings and a garden to enjoy.

Character cottage with all the home comforts located a short level walk from the beautiful historic town of Tavistock. Russell Cottage has been recently and extensively renovated to a high standard. This is a perfect base to explore the South West and Dartmoor. There is a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining room. A beautiful bathroom with a clawfoot bath and a separate wet room shower, and two bedrooms (1 single). Please note, there are no laundry facilities.

We are located 2 miles from the historic town of Tavistock, 3 miles from spectacular Dartmoor and from popular mountain bike trails, making this a great destination for walkers, runners and cyclists.

Located on a working farm of over 240 acres, in the heart of the Tamar Valley, Swallow Cottage is a single storey stone, semi-detached barn conversion with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The holiday cottage has a shared field and play area for children or Dogs to use. We only allow 1 well behaved dog per stay.
