The Gateway-Getaway is only about three miles from Mount Desert Island (MDI) where you will find Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor. The apartment is perfect for 1-2 people. You will stay in an efficiency apartment above our detached garage which is in a quiet location (although occasionally our dogs bark when outside). Hiking trails are less than a mile away and plenty of fresh and salt water access nearby. We are on the Blackwoods/Bar Harbor bus route so you can catch the free Island Explorer LL Bean buses to Bar Harbor and back.

We would want you to know that we may be up early mornings along with the chickens so early risers would do best here.

Walking distance to all that Bangor has to offer including Waterfront Pavilion, Stephen King's house, wonderful pubs and restaurants.

Two bedroom Private Guest suite encompasses the entire second floor of a beautiful country home on the Shore of Taunton Bay.
