Veiligheidstips voor hosts van Airbnb-ervaringen

Airbnb has partnered with the American Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross Red Crescent to provide our community with general safety resources. Applicable in 191 countries, these resources were developed by the Red Cross Red Crescent's Global Disaster Preparedness Center—an international reference center created to build a global community for disaster preparedness innovation and learning.

In an emergency situation, please contact local police or emergency services immediately.

We recommend that all Hosts of Experiences review the information relevant to the activities they’re hosting, to help keep their guests and themselves safe.

How to make an emergency plan

If you’re a Host, we suggest you prepare an emergency plan in case of natural disaster or any other emergency that could occur during an Experience. The American Red Cross and International Federation of the Red Cross Red Crescent created safety cards that Hosts can provide to guests, and potentially even fill out on guests’ behalf, so that everyone has quick access to local emergency information if needed.

First aid tips

We strongly recommend that Experience Hosts sign up for a First Aid & CPR training course, so that they learn how to:

  • Prepare a first aid kit
  • React in an emergency
  • Provide first aid in a variety of situations

Helping guests prepare for physical activities on your Experience

Make sure your guests have a great Experience by letting them know what types of activities they can expect throughout the itinerary. Share information with guests before, during, and after the activities such as what to eat, how much sleep to get, and what they should bring with them to support their health during the activities.

Also consider the intensity level and skill level you set for guests. Talk to guests about how these levels are intended to give them an idea of the expected intensity of your Experience, and of the set of skills they will need to participate in it safely and comfortably.
