Wanda and Mike went above and beyond to make my time with them special, and they have to be the kindest, most welcoming hosts out there! It was great to share conversations and laughs with them over dinner and breakfast (both wonderfully prepared by Wanda), and it was so fun to have the chance to feed their cows out in the field. I stopped in Nebraska as part of a longer road trip, but getting to meet them would have made the trip worth it alone. The bedroom and bathroom were also spacious, clean, and comfortable, and Wanda gave great, detailed directions to make arrival, check-in, and parking super easy. Would definitely recommend a stay!

This was the perfect place for my family to stay. Wonderfully furnished with two bedrooms and a very nice Murphy bed. The kitchen had everything a regular home has, with many condiments in the house. My family was very happy.

This place exceeded my husband and my expectations. We were hoping to find a calm and clean place to stay on our way home to Minnesota after a 3 weeks road trip. We had a peaceful stay at the Sandhills Retreat. The sandhills are so tranquil and the house is a great spot to show off the natural beauty of central Nebraska. We had everything we needed for meals and entertainment. Marian was great at communicating with us, providing checkin information proactively so our group could trickle in throughout the day.

Great house in the heart of ThedFord. If you find yourself in the Sandhills you can't do any better. Two full baths, 4 bedrooms two living rooms, grill and patio...you won't find a better place!
