Ravis d'avoir choisi la maison de Birgir pour notre séjour. Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Birgir est toujours prêt à donner des infos sur son pays ainsi que des conseils. Nous reviendrons sans hésitations et recommandons.

Tina and Torfi are truly warm people who love to welcome others into their B and B and into their lives. The units are a part of the house and there is always a very welcoming, happy atmosphere and much humor and discussion. The bedrooms and shared bathrooms are very tidy and comfortable and clean, especially the bathrooms. For folks wanting to be off the beaten path and looking for relatively cheap lodging, you won't find a better jumping off point than Freyja! Tina and Torfi also are extremely helpful with local sightseeing tips and we went almost everywhere they sent us, much to our satisfaction. This includes some places not known about wisely by tourists. All in all a great experience!

This is one of the best Bed and Breakfast experiences you can have in Iceland! The host family lives there, giving you a homey feeling, a wonderful homemade breakfast and good conversation with ideas about what to do in the area if you ask.

Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und hatten das Anwesen für uns alleine. Die Nutzung der Sauna und des Kaminofens ist toll. Die Fußbodenheizung im Aufenthaltsraum war sehr angenehm. Es wurde extra Frühstück für uns bereitgestellt (Brot, Müsli, frisches Obst, Joghurt etc.). Von Egilsstadir benötigt man ca. 30 Minuten, dafür ist der Ausblick in die Natur herrlich. Klare Empfehlung!

Saedis was a great host! The house was quaint and comfortable for our stay! All areas were very clean. We’d be happy to return :)

Everything was just perfect. Very nice room and bathroom and we had also opportunity to use laundry what we really appreciated because all our stuff was completely wet (raining whole day). Inga and her husband were so nice and helpful and also gave us some tips what to visit. Breakfast was very good. Thank you so much!

Abbiamo amato il nostro soggiorno da Gunna e Maggi. La nostra camera era all'interno della casetta bianca di fronte alla casa in cui abitano i proprietari, in cui ci sono due bagni comuni e una cucina. Ci siamo innamorati del posto subito, leggendo la storia dei proprietari e della loro famiglia all'interno di un raccoglitore presente in camera, e come suggerito abbiamo fatto due passi all'interno della fattoria. Peccato non aver visto le renne, Magnus ci ha detto che erano visibili solo qualche giorno prima del nostro arrivo! Buona la colazione con alternative dolci e salate, e le marmellate di loro produzione. La colazione si svolge all'interno del loro ristorante, in cui abbiamo potuto apprezzare la collezione di strumenti musicali di Magnus con cui abbiamo fatto una piacevolissima chiacchierata. È stato un soggiorno bellissimo che porteremo nel cuore e laddove dovessimo tornare in Islanda, sicuramente torneremo a trovarvi. Magari la prossima volta con un contrabbasso! Ahaha!

Chambre moderne, déco design, très propre. Hôte très gentil et aux petits soins avec ses clients. Très bon petit déjeuner copieux.

un soggiorno fantastico! La casa è molto accogliente, offre una cucina ben rifornita con tutto il necessario per cucinare, ottima la colazione. non potevamo scegliere una location migliore! Grazie!

great accomdation close to Myvatn. Easy to access. well sized with good bathroom, very comfy bed and breakfast included. I managed to see the northern lights there which made this stay even more special.

Malheureusement le temps ne nous a pas permis de dormir dans la tente… la solution de replis était très confortable pour autant!

Very nice, clean and quiet private room

Absolutely amazing!!! This was our one airbnb to break up a campervan trip around the whole ring road and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The food was all homemade and delicious, especially the bread and waffles. Our host was so lovely and showed us around the farm where we had such a great time meeting the sheep and horses! After passing by so many in Iceland, it was a real treat to be able to pet and see the horses up close. The spaces were perfect as well, nice big rooms with an attached bathroom. Fridge and freezer space, laundry, coffee, tea, and a warm welcome from the family dog, we can’t wait to come back! <3

Great stay in this cabin near the lake. There’s a little table with twi chairs facing the lake and your garden is literally a lava field. The room is nice and cosy and the location is perfect, close to all the major sites.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft. Supernette, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. In allen Belangen alles top. Diese Unterkunft gehörte zu den Besten der 11 Unterkünfte, die wir in 13 Tagen hatten. Also, kommen und geniessen!

just amazing.

Mein Aufenthalt in diesem Hostel war insgesamt sehr positiv. Das Hostel ist vor allem sehr sauber, was mir besonders wichtig ist. Auch das Frühstück war hervorragend – eine tolle Auswahl und wirklich lecker! Einziger Minuspunkt: Die Zimmer sind leider extrem klein. Es war kaum möglich, den Koffer offen liegen zu lassen, was etwas unpraktisch war. Allerdings muss ich sagen, dass die geringe Größe auf den Bildern bereits erkennbar war, daher war es keine völlige Überraschung. Trotzdem kann ich das Hostel aufgrund der Sauberkeit, der tollen Atmosphäre und des Frühstücks absolut weiterempfehlen – perfekt für Kurzaufenthalte oder Reisende mit wenig Gepäck!

Wonderful cozy cabin. Amazing views, delightful breakfast with spectacular views of the glacier. Worth the drive for a perfect Iceland rural setting.

Place was excellent. Comfortable. Exactly as described. Kitchen and bathroom clean and had everything you might need. Dagmar was super helpful and gave information immediately with updates day of arrival. Stayed due to proximity to blue lagoon and KEF and was VERY convenient. Grindavik is essentially abandoned. Don’t count on much besides gas. Locals were surprised we stayed there.

The place is very good and clean. Kitchen is well equipped for any cooking. Shared showers are their own rooms, so you'll have privacy + they offer soap and shampoo. Note: the stairs to the rooms are very steep. Just mind your step. The included breakfast is amazing: waffles, multiple different breads and toppings, eggs, Skyr, oatmeal, coffee, tea, juices. Highly recommend and we'll come back. ☺️
