Vanuit het huis zijn vele mooie wandelingen mogelijk, begin vooral met een wandeling in eigen tuin, er zijn vele wandelpaden te vinden. Aan zee is van alles te beleven (zeehonden!)

The Castle rests on about half an acre of land with Ballindooley Lake lying to the south west. It is surrounded by low walls and hedges: with a gated entrance controlled by an electronic security system. Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
