Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Ideal for two people, this lake-front studio apartment is one within a four-plex, tucked away on a private drive in the countryside. This property is located on Old Highway 13 - between Murphysboro and Carbondale. You are right in the middle of many amenities and attractions sought after in the area - wineries, hiking, and SIU. A picnic table, charcoal grill, firepit, and string lights sets the outdoor space up nicely for a fun evening!

Tiny House on the lake, also called cabin #4

The tiny house is on the edge of a 4 acre pond. The full bed is a mattress in a loft, stairs and a handrail to get up, it's a bit over 5 feet for headroom, please note, as a loft bed is not for everyone. Cabin is in the woods with bugs, poison ivy, and animals. I often see a water snake swimming in the pond below, along w/ fish and turtles. Catch and release. If you want to be in a kind of raw nature setting without landscaping, tom, your host, will guide you in this experience.

Our second listing for Hilltop Retreat, this two-level home provides the space and seclusion a group of 12 could use to get away from the hustle of everyday life. Located next to the Shawnee National Forest, and right at the beginning of the Shawnee Wine Trail, this home has alot to offer. Take in the scenery of the private pond on the upper porch deck, or enjoy a fire in the evenings around the large firepit. Plenty of games are provided in the game/movie theater room as well!
