Hilltop Haven has been an amazing home away from home. We stayed there close to a week and it’s been relaxing and comfortable, half an hour drive from all of our activities in the area. The house is modern and super clean, and the host is very helpful, answers all questions instantly.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and we had an amazing time staying the weekend. Spent plenty of family time around the fire pit just relaxing and enjoying this amazing stay. Definitely plan on making another trip in the future!!!

The house was comfortable and clean with sweet touches from Vickie like a welcome note and snacks. It was a great place to stay in Newton while we were in town for a wedding.

As a 35 week pregnant mom with 2 littles at home and nursing school finals on Monday, getting away to the cabin was exactly what I needed! Not only was it so peaceful that I could focus and study for an extended period of time, but it was also incredibly comfortable. (And the jet tub was just icing on the cake!) Ernie & Mindy may have been some of the nicest Airbnb hosts I’ve booked with so far. They were incredibly welcoming- even bringing us some delicious raspberry + white chocolate muffins and chatting for a bit. Reminded me of my dad a bit! I’ll definitely be back- Id love a chance to explore the land when I’m not super pregnant. Thanks for everything!

Everything was as it was in the pictures. Our stay was amazing. Kurt and Jillyn were very responsive. The Hen House was great. Very clean. There was a lot of privacy and very quiet. The mattress was very comfortable, plenty of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. I would definitely recommend the Hen House to others. I would definitely give them a Golden Egg. We even purchased 6 dozen eggs from them when we left. We would absolutely come back. Some places to go are Pella, IA and we went to the John Wayne birthplace museum in Winterset, IA.

We were looking for a place to stay for a wedding and this was the perfect spot! Such a cute home that had everything we needed. Will definitely stay again if we’re ever back in Newton!

I loved this little house! It was very comfortable and had everything I could've wanted for a weekend trip. It was very easy to get to and I had no issues with checking in or out. It was clean and the rules were very easy to follow. My only one complaint is that it's somewhat close to a train track. As a light sleeper, I got woken up once or twice by it. Even with that I would definitely stay here again because the rest of it was great. It's in a very friendly community, and coming from a big city the people were so much friendlier/nicer than I'm used to interacting with so that was a great plus.
