Unlike other places in the area, Willow Hills did not try to gouge us during the eclipse. Everyone we met, guests included, were very friendly. The owners asked for feedback when we saw them and was open to our input. She made sure we knew a late checkout would be ok. We didn't need it, but appreciated the offer. The other guests were not noisy. Clearly a lot of work has been done on the building and they are working to make more improvements. The one thing we wish we had was a private bathroom.

Great place for a private getaway. Private water and balcony with great sunsets. Big yard for games. Cute breakfast place (Old Macs) just a short drive away. Good Crappie fishing, and lots of fun wildlife. Quick responses to questions. Great way to spend weekend out in the fresh air.

This home perfectly matched its description. And while it seemed small at first glance from the exterior the inside opened up to more space than was imaginable. Immaculate yet cozy. Plenty of extra supplies should we needed it. Loved the bed and the shower pressure. Host friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the area.

It's always a thrill to stay in old buildings. You just don't know what you'll get, maybe ghosts, maybe nothing. At one point, I texted my friend because over the howling wind from the snowstorm, I heard a girl's laughter. Well, it turned out to be other renters. So, no ghost for me. The accommodations were really comfortable and the hosts went out of their way to make sure I was alright. The area is remote which is what I like. It was a peaceful two day stay.

We enjoy staying at the secluded cabin. The cabin is clean and well stocked with linens, towels, and paper products. If you love the outdoors then this is a great place to stay. Thanks!!

We loved our stay! It was beautiful, quiet, and very well maintained! Bev checked in on us to be sure we had everything we needed and provided a delicious treat when we checked in! Expert comfort level from the blankets to the couches and chairs, to the beds. We enjoyed it so much we didn’t venture out much at all.

The house is beautiful and Maria is incredibly responsive. There was a small issue with the heat at around 8:30pm one night. I let Maria know and she had someone there to fix it within the hour! It was absolutely incredible. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely choose to stay at The Victorian again anytime we are in Newton.
