Located just 2 hours from Houston, our little lake house retreat is the perfect getaway. Whether you enjoy sitting around the fire with family and friends, hitting the lake for fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, or just lounging on the large floating water mat, we have you covered. At the end of the day, fire up the Traeger grill or Traeger Flatrock griddle and enjoy dining out on the deck while taking in the amazing views of the lake as the sun goes down. Come on out and make some memories!

The Ponderosa

The Ponderosa is relaxing and peaceful for anyone. If you need more space, we have outdoor areas for RVs or tents. This is a great space for gatherings such as: crawfish boils, family reunions, birthdays, a romantic couple getaway or a family escape from everyday life. Come out and enjoy nature and look at the stars at the Ponderosa. Lake Sam Rayburn is 35 min., Steinhagen Reservoir is 10 min. away and Big Thicket National Game preserve is minutes away. Shooting on property needs approval.

Woodsy Lake House Retreat

Escape to our woodsy lake house near Rayburn Country Resort. Enjoy family fun with games and a spacious deck, fire pit, and grilling equipment for outdoor gatherings. Relax in the woodsy backyard or cozy up in the entertainment room with a popcorn machine and stocked snack bar for movie nights. Located just 3 minutes from the golf course and resort, and 8 minutes from the nearest boat ramp, our retreat offers the perfect blend of relaxation and exciting activities.

Relax and enjoy the beauty of this peaceful private lake with lakefront cabin. Full kitchen, with complimentary coffee and tea, queen bed, private full bathroom. A large, covered porch. Fire pit and charcoal grill are provided as well as a Kayak and paddle boat for your enjoyment. Kayak, fish, or swim or just chill on private pier. Check in 3:00 pm - Check out 11:00 am. You can fish, swim, & hike at lake Sam Rayburn (16 min), or Boykin Springs (20 min) inside the Angelina National Forest. The Neches & Angelina river are also minutes away. 2 Comfy beds, cast iron tub, 2 patios, fire pit, grill, propane heater, A/C, & quiet fridge. Great for 4 people.

Relax on the back porch overlooking our 9 acres of magnificent trees while sipping your morning coffee or playing cards as the evening winds down. Take a walk through the backyard along trails to a swing in the midst of this tranquil forest or be more adventurous and hike into an uncharted area of the Big Thicket bordering our backyard.
