By car, Chugach Loft is 10 minutes from the airport, 16 minutes to downtown and 8 minutes to Kincaid Park (1,516.78 acres of trails for cycling, running, hiking or simply taking in the scenery & wildlife). We are also within walking distance to (one each) fine & casual dining, a local coffee house & grocery store ~ 2miles away. Please read “Other things to note”. Also, bear spray available to borrow if you plan on hiking or strolling through Kincaid park. (Fee charged only if you discharge it.)

Forest Yurt has all of the spirit of an off-grid forest yurt, in a quiet Anchorage neighborhood, 5 mins from airport. This 16' partial off-grid unit is wood stove heated (cut wood included), or guests can use a space heater. Comfortable full bed. Basic kitchenette amenities available: microwave, hot plate, tools, pans. No plumbing; sink and toilet are an eco- friendly Boxio system. Next to a forested park with trails. There are endless possibilities for hiking, climbing, and skiing from the house. Or, if you prefer to sit and relax and read a book, the view from the deck or living room couch of the Anchorage skyline and Denali/Mt. McKinley is spectacular.

Behind your interior “front door” is your Queen bed; TV room; kitchenette; and bathroom with tiled walk-in shower and the best backside feature ever: heated bidet toilet. I live and work upstairs. There's plenty of space for all.

The property is located near Campbell Lake and 5 minutes away from Kincaid Park as well as the beautiful setting of nature and wildlife.
