This is by far one of the best Airbnb's that we have stayed at! Katie is very responsive and the description of her home is exactly how you will find it. Most importantly, her home is VERY clean! The kitchen if fully stocked with everything you will need (coffee, creamers, sugar, paper plates, fridge w/ ice machine, any spice that you can think of, etc.). We booked our stay to make sure that we were there for the opening day of trout season. Sherman's Creek runs right along the property and is right down the hill from the house. It was very convenient to be so close to the water. There were locals there fishing and they were extremely nice. It rained a little while we were out fishing, but with the house being so close, we were able to walk up the hill, throw our semi-wet clothing in the dryer, and head back out once the rain stopped. We will definitely return to Katie's property for another vacation. It was exactly what we needed. Privacy, wonderful views, and relaxation!

Great house in a secluded location. Had everything we needed and everything was in working order. Special thanks to Randy the property manager. Super helpful, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had anything we needed. We visited on a snowy and icy weekend and he made sure everything was clean and clear so we could get in and out of the property. Excellent service and it was greatly appreciated.

We had a fantastic girls weekend here. There was ample space for all of us, a beautiful and functional kitchen with everything we needed to prepare meals, and an everything was immaculately clean. The view was unbeatable - we spent significant time on the patio and deck. It’s private enough to not be disturbed and to not feel like you’re disturbing anyone else. The host was responsive to our outreach, friendly, and helpful! 10/10 would stay here again.

Host was quick to respond and accommodating. I had a wonderful get together with family here. There was enough room for me to host our large family dinner. The kitchen was well stocked. This is a beautiful home that is well-maintained. Amenities are abundant. Jennifer is quick to respond and will cater to your needs. We rented this place because our power went out. We were looking for something close with heat, running water and electricity. Jennifer accommodated an early check -in. Her husband ensured the sidewalk was clean from ice and snow. She had the heat on when we arrived. As the night went on, we found out that the furnace stopped working. She responded as quickly as she could. It was cold in the home, but the blankets and covers that were provided kept us amply warm. I couldn’t have asked for more friendly and accommodating hosts. I would book here again without hesitation.

The house was perfect for us - we were working out of town and needed a place to stay and this fit the bill perfectly. It was close to where we were working and was a nice retreat at the end of the day once we completed work. The hosts were very proactive with communication and even offered to drop off bottled water when there was a water advisory issued. I would highly recommend staying here. This is a great get away location. From the beautiful horses on every property to the beautiful bay window where you can enjoy your coffee every morning.

it was a very peaceful and well kept home. it was just as the pictures showed. except the bunk beds are in the basement. we were looking for that room like I seen it in the pictures. the kids even got scared by the realistic bear they had in their room. i would definitely stay there again.

My family and I stayed for a wedding down the road. The house is absolutely stunning. It was extremely roomy, we all had our own space. The house had everything we needed, toaster, coffee maker, etc. We had an amazing weekend and will definitely be back for another getaway. There was even an entire game room with every game you can imagine. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the property!

My family and I stayed at the Heart of the Valley for a nearby wedding weekend this spring. It truly lived up to its name. It is an absolutely gorgeous home with beautiful views. We loved the convenient location, morning coffee talks on the back patio, and the peaceful neighborhood. Ruth provided easy access and clear instructions so communication was hardly needed. We appreciated the amenities offered, the cleanliness of each and every space in the home, and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Great Valley!

From my very first email with questions, Gloria was absolutely lovely as a hostess. She was very helpful and communicative and wanted to make sure the house met our needs. It was in a perfect location for walking around Lewistown and visiting our family who live there. The two back bedrooms and bath seem to be part of an addition to the original floor plan—so the floor plan is a little quirky—but it suited our needs perfectly. It is very spacious and we enjoyed having so much room to spread out! Gloria left cans of La Croix, waters, coffee and other items for us to use in the full kitchen. We took full advantage and enjoyed eating some meals in. The house is quite old hence the 4-star rating for cleanliness...hard for an older structure to be sparkling and pristine...but it was completely satisfactory. We will stay again.

The home is spacious and well appointed. Beds and furniture was comfortable and decor is very attractive. Welcome treats were much appreciated and the location was very convenient for the family wedding we were attending. It was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

Kathryn’s home is absolutely amazing and was one of the cleanest/most comfortable Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed in. Marlen could not have been any more responsive when needed. The townhouse was EXACTALY as described and pictured. It was like it was brand new and we were the first ones in it. There for a trade show which we travel a LOT for Marlen's place was by far the nicest, cleanest and friendliest host/place! We decided to stay at Chris's place for a Penn State playoff game, and it was such a great find, especially given the high accommodation prices in State College. The home was charming and quaint, just as described. The 35-minute drive to the game was perfect, and there was plenty of space for the five of us, with multiple living and sitting areas to spread out. Everything was spotless when we arrived, and Chris even left some snacks, which the college students really appreciated! I've already recommended Chris's place to my family members with current Penn State students and would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Chris!
