A very beautiful apartment placed in a lovely serene area yet close to the attractions. It met out expectations and beyond. A very friendly check in and check out, homely place. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Nuwara Eliya. They even provide a heater for a decent price. All the amenities were maintained very well.

Wunderschöne, riesige Villa mit fantastischen Blick und tollen Gastgebern. Auf individuelle Wünsche, z.B. beim Essen wird eingegangen. Die Anfahrt ist sehr abenteuerlich, da die Straßenverhältnisse zur Villa schwierig sind. Die Lage ist sehr abgelegen, dafür aber auch dementsprechend mitten in der Natur, mit Affen im Garten und Blick über den See.

Just to be clear: this is a simple living type of cottage and the road to get there is tricky (we’d strongly recommend a car with good clearance if you’re coming by car). However, once you get there it is well worth it! The view and tranquility of the place is amazing. Jerry and Sally are super friendly and welcoming and make you feel at home – the door to their neighbouring house (main house) is always open, and you’re welcome to use the pool in their garden, or just hang out and have a chat with them in the living room. They also offer breakfast and dinner (there’s a basic kitchen in the cabin if you want to cook yourself), and this was for us both convenient and very nice – we had some good talks with both Jerry, Sally and their other guests. This was a good starting point for the first (and second) stage of the Pekoe Trail nearby (15/20 min by tuk tuk). We highly recommend!

My entire stay at Edgar Mansion was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the thoughtful attention to detail in the decor. Every corner of the house exuded a sense of elegance and warmth, creating an inviting and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that made me feel right at home. I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to Chef Reggie and his talented team. Not only did they prepare extraordinary meals that delighted the senses, but they also went above and beyond to attend to all our needs with genuine care and professionalism. Their dedication truly elevated the entire experience.

A great apartment within easy walking distance of the lake and temple. The hosts were super friendly, and the accommodation was very clean—we felt right at home and spontaneously extended our stay! Due to the thin Styrofoam gaps at the top of the walls, we occasionally heard some noise from traffic, monkeys, or between our own rooms. That said, we had no issues with mosquitoes or cold air, and we would happily book another stay with Lakmal and his wife!

This is the most beautiful place I have visited in Sri Lanka!! The location is SO serene and beautiful. Lush vegetation, surrounded by mountains and waterfalls nearby. The road was quite good to get to the homestay, More than all of this Wasantha and her husband are greatly hospitable. She made the BEST local authentic food with home grown vegetables and fruits. Then we went to the local waterfalls, where you can even get a free fish massage in the water! You can exhaust your camera roll taking pictures here!! All I can just say, "Absolutely Amazing!!!!!", "Memorable!!"

The place is incredible and looks exactly like the photos. There‘s a lot of space for two people. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. It is peaceful but you do need a tuktuk to get to the city center because the way is long and the streets are steep. But if you like the nature, this place is made for you.

We booked Cheshan's place in less than 12 hours before arriving. The host quickly replied to our questions. He and the caretaker were very helpful and agreed to take our luggage for storage before checking in. The place itself is lovely and within walkable distance to the center and the lake. The apartment is in the new building with underground parking and a pub nearby. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this apartment for fellow travelers.

If you want a stay nestled in the Sri Lankan wilderness, this is for you! This stay is also located a short walk to the entrance to Knuckles which makes access to the hikes extremely convenient. The amenities are clean and new, with a kitchen and laundry area in the building next door. Do make sure to arrange food well in advance (Either with Indrajith or by buying your own groceries to cook in Kandy) as Knuckles is extremely isolated and there is no access to food locations in the area. This stay is totally worth it for the scenic views and relaxed atmosphere that knuckles has to offer.
