Big R's Retreat Secluded and located in Nature

Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

Nature’s Nest

Unwind and immerse yourself in nature at this cozy cabin overlooking Timber Coulee Creek. Large living room windows and a spacious deck provide you with a bird’s eye view of the rippling river and many types of wild life. Deer amble through the property; eagles soar and keep an eagle eye on everything. Turkeys, squirrels, coons, and myriad of birds go about their business in this serene environment. Trout fishing is an excellent pastime for those who care to cast a line. Rest, at Nature’s Nest.

Paradise Point sleeps 2 Hot Tub

1 bedroom 1 bath with loft. Cozy home where you can see Paradise. This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Views for miles of the Mississippi River, bluff tops and you can soar with the Eagles. What a place to relax in the newly added hot tub while you enjoy the view in what is call "God's Country". This is promised to be a one of a kind view. The Deck with comfortable outdoor seating Located in the heart of WIsconsin's Driftless Region. New workout center for all our guest to use.

Driftless Region Cabin/ Stream and Sauna

Settle into a quaint farmhouse nestled in a valley in the rolling, forested hills of the Driftless Region. Start your day with a cup of local coffee on the front porch. Go on a long walk or bike ride, then return to the cottage to cook, play board games, listen the record collection or visit Viroqua (25 minutes) for a farm-to-table 5-star dinner, or check out local music. Build a warm fire outdoors/ warm up by the gas stove indoors, or go down to the stream for a sauna by the cool water creek.

Vireo Cabin at Driftless Creek

Vireo – named for the warbling vireo that nested on the porch – is the most spacious and home-like cabin at Driftless Creek. Vireo is a private modern cabin in a wooded setting, with hiking trails on-site, close to Viroqua. Vireo features furnishings in aqua-blue, lime green, and shades of gray. Highlights of Vireo include ample seating around a wood stove, a piano, porches on 3 sides (one screened-in), and a fully equipped kitchen with seating for 4 at the kitchen bar. Vireo sleeps 7.

Cabin-Driftless/Near Lakes/Streams/Pet Friendly

Perfect place to escape into nature at our cozy country cabin that is fully furnished. Our cabin is conveniently located 1.5 miles outside of Viroqua on a secluded township road, near premier trout fishing creeks and outdoor adventures. The cabin boasts a large wrap around deck. Perfect spot to relax with sounds of nature and views of the Valley. Inside this modern cabin is a loft with a king and 2 XL twins, main level bedroom with full bed and a full size sofa sleeper. H.S internet.

Squirrel Ridge Log Cabin

A cozy cabin nestled in the country side of southwest Wisconsin. This cabin is located on the corner of our 28 acre organic maple syrup farm. The Amish built log cabin is in a wooded area with its own driveway offering privacy for a perfect getaway! Comfortably sleeps 4 adults, which includes a queen bed in the master bedroom, 2 single beds in a loft area, & a queen size pullout sleeper in the main room. Centrally located in the Ocooch Area of WI for excellent trout fishing.

The Water Villa - @MillCreekCabinsWI

Overlooking a small pond and Mill Creek in the valley below, The Water Villa offers guests beautiful views of the countryside. Near the entrance of Mill Creek Cabins, The Water Villa is shielded by a large privacy fence. A sliding door opens up to reveal a pathway to the two-story cabin. The main floor features a king bed, balcony, small seating area, and fireplace. Reclaimed barn wood walls and large windows create a warm interior highlighting the outdoors.

Very private on-the-grid cabin overlooking the Kickapoo River. Kitchen & bath, dining room, one bedroom and futon in the large living room. TV and internet, laundry and cooking. Bring your own phone. Two additional cots provided. Stunning views for every season, a unique and colorful experience in nature any day of the year. The best hunting and fishing, canoeing and horse riding, nature trails, morels and foraging.

Spring Bank Cabin

Spring Bank Cabin is an 18'x42' off the grid cabin tucked in amongst the rolling hills of the driftless area, sitting on 13 acres of open meadow and forested land a 28' covered porch! It's equipped with solar panels and a generator, and has a full functioning bath and kitchen. Ask us about our discount for children 10 and under!

Bishop Creek Cabin - Fly Fishing in Driftless Area

A setting like no other! Enjoying the coziness of our cabin while being able to witness nature at its best is priceless! Sitting on the deck is so relaxing, seeing the eagles soar over the cabin, and listening to the bubbling of Bishop Branch while having picnics is a true escape from reality and a tiny home away from home.
