was a very cozy and comfy place to stay. wasn't to far away from the bigger citys so it was easier to do things. 10/10 would stay again

Red Juniper Retreat is a beautiful place to spend a few peaceful days. The house is spotless and the layout is ideal. Everything in the kitchen and bathrooms is sparkling clean, and we were also welcomed with thoughtful touches like chocolate on each bed and everything needed for a bonfire. If I ever am back at the area, I will stay at Jazmin's house.

A great place to stay while visiting Williamsburg & Bush Gardens, plenty of room for our large family and an easy 10 minute walk to the beach. It had everything we needed.

We loved staying at John's place, especially hanging out on the screened-in and open decks in the back of the house facing the water. Beautiful view, quiet, and very peaceful. We also had plenty of room to spread out and the kitchen was well-appointed.

I had a very comfortable 3 night stay at Mill Creek and so did my little dog! It was sparkling clean and Stacy was a wonderful and communicative host. The beds were comfortably firm, the linens soft, the quilts pretty and warm with knitted blankets if needed. The kitchen has everything you need and there's a nice coffee station with plenty of mugs to choose from. A nicely ample kitchen table is in a spacious area and there is lovely morning light. The bathroom is off this area and features a wide sink area and good shower. The laundry room is large and easy to use. The living room is cozy with soft reclining leather chair and couch and the bedrooms are on either side so they feel nicely separate. Both bedrooms are charming with good closet space and light for reading. The best thing is the big wide field out the kitchen door! Even though there are houses on either side, they are well spaced and you feel well protected from the road. You may even see a flock of chickens come by!

We thoroughly enjoyed or stay at the farm. The space was well thought out and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and taking in the surrounding farms. There was a therapeutic riding stable at the end of the street that had beautiful horses and livestock. We also enjoyed the free range chickens that visited us each day. I highly reccomend staying at Sharon's place.

We were here for a work trip in West Point, VA. We were originally planning on staying in West Point, but the properties were way out of budget. Anthony’s place was perfect. It was a short drive to the job site and town. It was within budget. He was super responsive and his place was exactly what we needed!!

As serene as it gets (except Wednesday is the mowing day, but didn’t bother us). Renee is super responsive, which helped a lot. The place is clean and very relaxing, it is remote though, any big city you want to drive to is 1.5-2hr drive. Had fun fishing from the dock, so many catfish there, anyone can catch. Friendly neighbors. Water is on the soft side. Fridge and cupboard had spices and condiments, and a water filter, which was a big plus. Pots and pans need replacing, that’s probably the only negative. Would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks Renee and Ed!

It ought to be a collection of Such's and So's. Such a nice place and so quiet. So well decorated with taste and quality materials. Such a relaxing spot so close to the water. So so so good cookies and muffins. And last but not least, so nice people. Very lively and cheerfull Tanya, very calm, quiet and peacefull John (still amazed, 40 years later and apparently, by his wife who may still have more energy than any soldier he faced throughout his carreer . Is there any use to add we enjoyed very much being there and highly recommend the Birds nest ? Daniel

My guys and I had a great stay in New Kent. It was odd being in a place that was representative of 150 years of history kept mostly in its antique form. That is, except for the kitchen which was modern underneath a classic look. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. I had a couple concerns when we checked in, but Adam responded and resolved everything quickly. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet get away with a history niche.

My wife and I had an amazing time staying here! While we wanted to explore Williamsburg and Richmond, we spent half of the days there just enjoying the lake. Those were my favorite days. In all, a really great place to read, play board games, snack on food, and sit by the water.

We had a great time at Nicholas and Dana's place! It was both fun and relaxing. We really enjoyed the little beach, the dock and the kayaks. We caught some catfish and one tiny crab in the crab trap (and threw everything back in). It was nice to have the firepit and hot tub to use too. And, the kids really liked being downstairs in their own space. The only issues were that the key pad wasn't working to get in to the front door which was frustrating after a long drive and the grill was very slow to heat up and probably needs to be replaced. Overall, this home was a really good choice for us and we would stay again when visiting family in the area.

What a lovely house and beautiful location. The house was so well maintained with everything labeled and ready for use. The location is so beautiful - even better in person. The sunset was spectacular! Definitely going to head back.

My stay at the dew drop in was nothing short of incredible. Mara, the host, was so kind and attentive making sure we had everything we could possibly need and more! The space was absolutely beautiful and the property itself was breathtaking. There are not enough words to express just how wonderful the overall experience was. I will be returning!
