Gooseland Cottage sits on the edge of the River Tavy, close to the village of Bere Ferrers, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to Dartmoor National Park. Tides allowing, enjoy sailing, paddling, or swimming - within yards of your door. Or just soak up the view and read by the woodburner. A bird watching haven - egrets, swans, geese, avocets, osprey, European roller (2023) and this year ... a sea eagle! Masses of walking trails and cycling.

Friendly hosts onsite in main house opposite for support and friendly welcome! 3 friendly dogs and 2 ponies. Rural tranquil location and close to many South Hams beaches and attractions e.g. Salcombe, Bantham, Burgh Island, Thurlestone, Kingsbridge and National Trust venues. Enclosed garden with BBQ. Manor House is grade II listed, set amongst an array of historic buildings at Botelet Farm, with a large private garden to the rear and views reaching across rolling fields and up to Bury Down iron age hill fort. Nestled in a valley in South East Cornwall, staying at Manor offers the chance for a peaceful escape with 300 acres to explore, safe spaces for children to play, chickens wandering free range outside, a trampoline in the orchard, and therapeutic massage and wellbeing workshops.

Beautifully Renovated Blackberry Cottage

Blackberry Cottage is a 300 year old cottage which we have lovingly refurbished into a beautiful cottage for modern living. The spaces are light and airy, the kitchen is south facing and has bifold doors leading out to the patio and garden, bringing the outside in. Blackberry cottage is available on a weekly basis during the school holidays with changeover day being a Friday. Outside school holidays the cottage is available for 3 night minimum stays for your perfect seaside escape.

Our newly refurbished 170 year old Cottage enjoys views over Burgh Island and Challaborough beach. The South West Coast Path 100m away, runs East towards Bigbury on Sea and West, towards the River Erme. The area is steeped in history and offers something for everyone. There is surfing, fishing, walking, windsurfing, diving, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. However there is no need to leave the property with its garden overlooking the beach and cosy fire indoors.

Having undertaken a major modernisation the cottage retains many historical features . Sleeping 6 in 3 double bedrooms there is a large kitchen diner , sitting room with log burner , bathroom with bath and separate shower and a downstairs cloakroom . The enclosed small garden to the rear offers lovely views and the opportunity to star gaze at night . We allow flexible check in and check out times if there are no bookings either side. One dog is welcome for a booking fee of £60.

The cottage is all on one level with a comfortable lounge area with TV and wifi, lovely shower room, fully equipped kitchen and separate toilet. Also outside is a small sitting area for coffee/alfresco drinks - this overlooks the village. Great walking is available straight from the cottage. Parking for one car is next to your private entrance door.
