This house was perfect for what we needed, plenty of space and great surroundings. If you like water, there is a canal out back and the sound out front with kayaks and paddle boards available for use.

Stayed during a duck hunt and worked out perfect. Everything with the house was as listed. Check in was easy and instructions were clear.

Very comfortable stay for our family with lots of room and great amenities. Appreciated the laid back vibe.

Great rental, super clean and they supply extra items such as beach towels or shampoo that makes it feel homey. They were super responsive and gave us some amazing food recommendations (the ice cream spots did not disappoint). Would definitely recommend, they are friendly and the room is well maintained!

We've stayed here multiple times because it is such a beautiful and cozy home. The decor is tasteful and homey. The amenities are so thoughtful. It's our favorite home in Kill Devil Hills.

Such a great Airbnb, the best we've stayed in so far! We loved having access to the firepit, kayaks and bikes. The house was so clean when we walked in. There was soap in the bathroom and plenty of towels and houseware in the kitchen. It was so comfortable. Evan was so responsive any time I had a question and checked in on us often. Will definitely be staying here again and recommend it to any family.

We had a wonderful stay. The house is in a fabulous location within a short bike ride to downtown Duck and the beach is a very short walk/bike down the street. The house is spacious and clean, and my kids loved the basketball court and that there were bikes to ride. The house is well equipped with everything you need. Overall great experience, we would come back and stay again.

Without a doubt one of the best places we have stayed in. Alan was easy to communicate with and super responsive . The house was beautiful and in a peaceful area. Neighbors were wonderful. Kitchen was easy to cook meals in and had everything we needed. Beds were clean and comfortable, showers were hot and towels were fluffy! The sound was a walk down the driveway and had great sunsets. Beach access was less than a 8 minute drive. Beach towels and all things you need were available. Pool was perfect and clean. The canal at the back of the house was great and lots of wildlife to hang out with. We would without a doubt come back again!! Just loved this place so much!! Thank you Alan for making our vacation so stress free and enjoyable!!

When we arrived to the pirate house the kids immediately started working on the scavenger hunt! They loved it. House was just as it was in the pictures. Very clean and well decorated. The neighbors were very friendly and the kids enjoyed kayaking. During our stay the dryer stopped working and it was replaced within 24 hours with a new unit. It was nice to be in the gated community and have shops and the beach all in a 10 minute drive. Hands down will stay here again!!!

My wife and I stayed with our two kids and my parents (and their dog) and had a great time! The house is cozy but comfortable for 6, with a good amount of living space including a very nice sunroom. Amy was friendly and helpful in our communications and proactive at checking how things were going, and helped ensure we had a nice stay the whole time. Staying on the sound was beautiful, especially the sunsets. The house is right on a great multiuse path which is perfect for walking or biking to the nearby coffee shop or for exercise. Grocery stores and restaurants are close too, as are destinations like Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers memorial. Two little things that made me happy were walking past the Muscadine vine in the front yard, and the color of the mailbox: a light blue which made it unique and easy to find when driving down an unfamiliar street. If your group is the right size for it, Safe and Sound is a great place to stay, and Amy is an excellent host!

Randy is a great host. I found the house very clean when I first got there and he had everything anyone would need for a beach vacation. I would definitely be going back next year.

I cannot say enough about this property, it has it all! Walkable beaches, clean home, private cul-du-sac neighborhood, comfy and cozy feel inside the house, amazing amenities included! We had a great vacation filled with many core memories for myself and my family. Chris was very attentive and any questions we had that were not answered in the guidebook he provided were handled by him personally. 10/10 experience from start to finish!

My husband, dog, and I had an amazing stay here! The house was spotless and well stocked with everything we needed. We accidentally locked ourselves out the first day and Whitney came to our rescue within 10mins! Location was very convenient and the neighborhood was nice. EV charger in the garage was also a big plus for us!

We totally understand and agree with Tanya being listed as a Super Host with 5+Stars! From making the reservation until checkout, Tanya made certain that we had absolutely everything we could possibly need for our stay, from extra toiletries, beach towels, sunscreen and even a sewing kit! She is responsive to messages, provides tips and suggestions on trips, places to visit and local restaurants! The house is pristine yet feels like home! We will definitely be making many more trips and this will be our “ home away from home!”

This house was very nice. The neighborhood is beautiful and it was centrally located to all the things we wanted to see in OBX. We liked having comfy beds for everyone and covered parking. Goldie was very communicative. It would be nice to have shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms (no one else in my family brought any 😂) and access to beach chairs and sand toys would be a helpful addition since it’s so close to the shore. This home has the most amazing view! Watching the sunrise over the sound every morning was breathtaking. It is about a half hour from the entrance to the Outer Banks, but we were more than happy to trade the drive for the absolute peace and tranquility of this home's serene location. The kitchen is well appointed so we enjoyed starting and ending each day with our own homemade breakfast and dinner.
