The Braeburn at the Appleton Retreat was everything we could have asked for! With intentions to just get away and relax for the weekend, this place did not disappoint! Not going to lie, having the hosts house near was a little concern, but the retreat and Braeburn house was completely private. The living space was incredible and had a home away from home feeling from the moment we stepped in. With that said.. the screened in porch and the therapeutic spa on the back side of the house was a fan favorite and completely private! Peter and Toby, thank you for such a great spot to get away and relax! As far as contact with the host, we really didn’t need to and when we did responses were quick! Everything we needed was already available and ready for us to enjoy! The welcoming muffins left were absolutely delicious and the coozys were a great touch! 10/10 would stay here again, maybe even check out that incredible looking treehouse next! We really enjoyed ourselves here, thank you again!

Seldom do we stay somewhere that offers an educational tour of the property. David was a cordial host and the apartment was comfortable and located close to downtown.

A beautiful home that is right on the water (just steps away, especially with the planks that allow you to walk further out into the grassy area). The hot tub was a really nice addition, and the stove fireplace was really nice and warming as well. All beds were comfy and kitchen was stocked with all the staples, so we were able to do lots of cooking. Jessalyn and Joshua were super quick to respond whenever we had a question.

Perfect studio. Used the jetted tub, nice and relaxing. Lots of extras (new toiletries, coffee, filters, sugar, etc.) much appreciated and used. The view, esp at sunrise, was stunning. Quiet neighbors. The beach store (pizza, sandwiches, salads, coffee and more) was very good. Just down stairs and one building over. (get there early for their muffins) I would certainly stay here again.

This place is special. If you want quiet, beauty, cleanliness, thoughtfulness, and a divine location to relax. This is the place. Fantastic hosts as always.

Beautiful home with a great view, deer and turkeys in the front yard. Very quiet and peaceful. The home is well equipped and spacious.

We had an amazing time! The location was perfect and the house was clean, quiet, and peaceful. The hot tub and sauna were an incredible addition, making our stay even more relaxing. Despite all the rain, we were happy to stay indoors, doing puzzles, reading, and playing Scrabble. Mary Jo was so responsive and the warm fire place w plenty of wood added a cozy touch! The pictures really don’t do it justice. We will definitely be back! Thank you so much!
