Our place is in Ishiyama,just 13 min from Kyoto and 50 min from Osaka. It’s a peaceful town near the southern tip of Lake Biwa, with rivers, nature, and history. You can enjoy quiet stays away from the busy city, explore Ishiyama-dera Temple, or go cycling along the lakeside. Try amazing Omi Beef, one of Japan’s top 3 wagyu! Walk by the Seta River, relax in nature, and visit nearby spots like MIHO Museum, Hikone Castle and more. The room has warm lighting and a 240cm-wide bed for perfect rest.

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

《May 2019 TV can be watched.》 It is located 15 minutes on foot from Kyoto station. It will be lent to a Kyoto townhouse style building. I put the finest furniture and the finest bed. You can also use wifi. The bath is about the size of two adults and uses Japanese cypress. It will be a very beautiful room just opened in January. Please try and stay at once. The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

四季折々の田園風景と鳥のさえずりや虫の声をBGMに、滋賀県南部の中山間地に田園が広がる小さな山里です。夜は、外灯以外真っ暗で星空がきれいで静かです。素泊まりで外食されるもよし、家族や友達とキッチンで自炊されるもよし、お気軽にお泊りいただけます。農家自慢のお米とおにぎりの具材を用意しておりますので、土鍋か炊飯器で炊いてお召しあがりください。炊飯されない時は、お持ち帰りできます。就寝は、畳ベッドの上に敷布団（ロングサイズ）とシーツをしいて、羽毛ふとんをかけておやすみいただきます。（４人目の方は簡易ベッドになります）夏にはタオルケットを冬には毛布や電気あんかの用意があります。アクセスは、国道３０７号線杉山交差点から県道５号木津方向に入り１㎞約２分です。新名神信楽ICから１１㎞、名阪国道壬生野ICから２１㎞、京滋バイパス笠取ICから３６㎞、市バスは朝宮線で杉山バス停で下車後徒歩約２分です。なお、最寄り駅の信楽高原鉄道信楽駅までの送迎をしますので予約時にお知らせください。チェックインとチェックアウトは母屋の玄関でルームキーの受け渡しをお願いします。のんびり田舎においでくださいませ。

"Kaze no Niwa"/retreat/Japanese traditional house

This is a traditional Japanese house built in the countryside of Iga, the home of the ninja. Although you can come by public transportation, it is more convenient to come by car as it is quite a rural area. The hot spring is 5 minutes by car. It takes 20 minutes by car to the castle town of Iga Ueno. 25 minutes to Mokumoku Farm. 30 minutes to Igayaki no Sato. 45 minutes to Suzuka Circuit. 50 minutes to Akame Shijuhachi Falls National Park. 1 hour to Ise Jingu. 1 hour to Horyuji Temple.

西村邸は、奈良町の一画に100年以上たたずむ、昔ながらの奈良町屋です。 ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。 奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。 「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」 そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.
