We had an excellent stay at Drifting Sands! The house is so well decorated and just beautiful, creative accents everywhere including outside in the garden area and beach area. The house is directly on the beach so it was just fabulous surroundings and sunsets. Highly recommend Claire and Sandy as hosts and the house was perfectly enjoyed by two couples. Thanks for making our trip to Hokitika so memorable!!

Loved our stay! Amazing views and super cosy house with everything we needed 😊 We will definitely be coming back! Jess and Nico were awesome hosts. One thing to note for families with kids: Master bedroom is upstairs and the other two bedrooms are downstairs.

Lovely place to stay with paddocks and the beach so close

Cosy wee cottage which felt like stepping into the past- full of interesting old timey stuff (including some very amusing books!) Has a fire which keeps the place warm and and outdoor bath which takes a bit of effort to get going but well worth it. Hosts were welcoming and very responsive and helpful. The location of Harihari is great for seeing the West Coast as it’s right between Hokitika and Franz Josef. So there’s heaps to see- gorgeous walks, forests, river and beaches. Highlight was the hidden away hot springs very close by. Overall very much recommend :)

Terrific accommodation, real atmosphere. Underfloor heating in the bathroom even. Great place to stay for skiing or biking the mountains behind. Beautifully restored main house. Worth booking dinner at the property. Stately breakfast, in style.

Die Unterkunft war für 2 Tage einfach perfekt. Das Haus war mehr als geräumig und bei Nacht und klaren Himmel einfach nur wunderschön. So viele Sterne wie schon lange nicht mehr gesehen. Die 2 Tage konnten wir für die Felsen, Höhlen und zum ausruhen nutzen. Clive war mehr als freundlich und hat auch immer schnellstens geantwortet. Ich kann es nur empfehlen, da es auch für 8 - 10 Leute funktioniert.

This is a fantastic place to stay in Hokitika. The location gives great access to the beach, and is quiet whilst also being so close to the high street. The house is beautifully presented and very comfortable to stay in, with all the amenities you could need. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved staying at Kate’s. Mingling with the other people camping/glamping in the communal areas was great. The house was perfect for our group.

If you are lucky enough to find availability and you want to feel transported to an enchanted place, look no further. Loooved this place and the host!!

Stunning quiet location, very warm and cozy, great shower pressure and absolutely loved the pool table! Didn’t miss having a tv at all - lovely to be off-grid for a change. Huge deck which is all covered and would’ve been great if it was raining! But we had beautiful weather so also had no issues with solar power. Felt very lucky to be able to have our dogs with us. They had the best time too. Thanks so much, we had a great couple of nights.

Perfect location to get away from the city life! It has an English feel to it, filled with lots of character! We were greeted by two very friendly dogs. I'd love to stay again in winter so I can use the huge log burner!

We had a good stay at Linley's place. Check-in was straightforward, and the house had everything we needed. Lots of nice dry firewood which was appreciated.

This place is super cute! Nice and cozy get host who turned the heatpump on for us so it was warm which was very appreciated thanks so much!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay, lovely and well appointed guest house. Super close to Ballooning Canterbury which was helpful for an early start. Host was welcoming and helpful.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The space was immaculately clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. Perfect location with epic views across to Mt Hutt. Would definitely book again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

A beautiful little place. Perfect for a beach and nature loving person like myself! Lovely being steps from the beach, the place was cosy and very comfortable. Roo and Carmine were lovely and they left some great recommendations. Would recommend anyone to book!

Such a beautiful location, views and peaceful surroundings at this delightful and comfortable Bach with everything you need! Hubby, dear daughter aged 9 1/2 and myself loved the comfort and relaxation, with an easy drive to family friendly places like Shantytown and Punakaiki Rocks. The fresh farm milk and eggs at the Bach were the cherry on top! And dear daughter loved the dogs that visited. We hope to be back soon 🥰❤️
