Everything about our stay has been utterly perfect. Having stayed in many Airbnb’s, this is certainly one of the best. All of the little details have been thought through, from the lovely and generous welcome package, to having plenty of logs available for the hot tub and even extra hot tub towels provided. The outside area is so well looked after that we just wanted to stay in the garden. We didn’t feel the need to leave the cottage at all! What made our experience even better was just how lovely, friendly and helpful Amy has been. I think this will be an annual trip for our family. Thanks so much again 😊

I highly recommend this beautiful house in a quiet and peaceful location. Jill was an excellent host, helpful and informative and the house was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. The surrounding fields had newborn lambs and free range chickens which added to the atmosphere. if you come across this property when looking for a place to stay, look no further and book it immediately.

We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

Absolutely stunning cottage and great pool and jacuzzi! A stunning peaceful location with great local pub and amazing walks and things to do (but you may need to travel a bit like we did to see the fantastic surrounding area) Highly recommended to others and we will be returning. Wow what an incredible stay! This is hands down the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at, and easily my favorite so far. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. Every part of the property from the cozy bedroom to the charming dining room, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful gardens was thoughtfully maintained and welcoming. We stayed in the Hermitage Cottage, which overlooks the river, and the view was absolutely stunning. The hot tub was ready for us on arrival, which was such a treat. One of the highlights was the peaceful walk around the island, surrounded by nature and the calming sound of the river flowing pure serenity. Jerry was the perfect host his clear instructions made everything easy and ensured we had a super comfortable and relaxing stay. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon, hopefully for a much longer visit. It’s the perfect getaway.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kathryn's place. The place is exactly how you imagine it would be by looking at the description and the photos. We will definitely be going back again. Kathryn was very responsive and so helpful with whatever queries we had.

What a lovely place! So glad I found it and would love to revisit! It was absolutely stunning! By far the nicest place I have stayed! The properly was beautiful and it was very clean! The views were stunning! Sam was incredibly helpful with booking, directions and getting access to the property! I don’t think he could have been any more helpful which made the process so easy and straight forward! It has everything you needed and we can’t wait to come back!

A fantastic property with a high quality and luxurious finish. Peaceful, with the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, despite being extremely close to shops and bars. Stayed with my three kids. Enjoyed the hot-tub and garden. The place was spotlessly clean and all of the appliances worked perfectly. A great sleep in very comfy beds, next to the sound of nature. This is a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. John was very accommodating regarding our late arrival and the cottage was easy to find and exactly as described. The cottage is very characterful and comfortable, with everything you could possibly need. The garden is beautiful and very private. Thank you John, we’ve had a wonderful stay.

Extremely comfortable cottage in a lovely, pretty location. Very well equipped kitchen, great shower and very comfortable bed. Very clean and own parking spot was a bonus. Great comms from Brittany and excellent local recommendations. Looking forward to returning soon. Highly recommend.

Lovely private, secluded cottage in the quiet and peaceful village of Croston. We used it as our base for travelling from Canada and visiting family around the NW of England. The property was exactly as described and surpassed our expectations. As first time Air B&B users we were a little nervous about the experience but the host, Holly, was super helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Overall we highly recommend, it’s a lovely cottage and a great host - 10/10

We loved the cottage, Deb and Tim have created a really special space, in a really beautiful area, could not fault it at all, they’re very helpful and welcoming we felt at home. Would 100% recommend and hope to visit again in the future! Thanks again

We had a lovely weekend in Polly’s Cottage! The cottage itself is absolutely beautiful (the photos do not do justice to the very grand fireplace)! The area out back, with the stream, is gorgeous and so peaceful. The kitchen is spacious and very well equipped (good quality frying pans, all the utensils you could possibly need, coffee machine and cafetière). The beds were really comfortable with quality pillows! Kettlewell itself is beautiful, of course. Good walks and good pubs. Our hosts were helpful and check-in was super easy, with a lock box. Life made easy. We didn’t want to leave!

This place is really cosy. A lovely log burner warm and tidy. Really nice fittings and fixtures clearly done with thought. Really decent hot water and heating. Beds were very comfy. Kitchen really well equipped. The local shop is basic but cheery and good opening hours. Used it for tea, coffee, milk, bread etc and they do cash back. The local chippy/Chinese take away was excellent. We couldn’t get into the pub to eat at late notice sadly so may need to hook well in advance if that’s your plan. We based ourselves here to do the costal rail route and it was super convenient for the railway. The parking was as advertised. The cottage itself is on the road through flookburgh, so there was a bit of traffic noise at the front bedroom, but really not that much as it’s not a big busy road by any means. There were bowls for the dog to make him feel welcome too.

Super little cottage in a small hamlet opposite a brook and forest. Super clean, very comfy beds and an old range in the sitting room where we had a cosy evening in front of the fire. Max was a perfect host with easy communication and very welcoming, coming out to meet us when we arrived. A lovely 20 minute walk to the nearest pub. We popped into the church just round the corner for tea and scones and were greeted by the kindest and friendliest community of people we have met. Super little place for a restful night away. And thank you for the unexpected Prosecco and chocolates! Very thoughtful x

Absolutely loved our anniversary stay at Crumble Cottage. Was everything we needed for relaxation and more On check in, Stewart was on hand and gave us an overview of the place, surroundings and suggested great places to visit and eat. The cottage itself is approx 15min walk into the centre of Cartmel - with great places to eat and drink there We visited the Wolf Predator experience by Grange-over-Sands - it was amazing!! Really enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and the tranquility- Will definitely be back again! Thanks for having us (Heidi & Craig) ☺️

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend stay at Robin Cottage - Jenny and Cesar were great hosts and were extremely friendly and relaxed - made us feel at home. The cottage was definitely luxurious - with the living room comfortable and cosy and the very well equipped kitchen helping to make our stay totally relaxing and hassle free. We enjoyed the dog walks from the cottage itself and it sits in quite a stunning location. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the place is quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of room to spread out inside and we found it a totally relaxing place to sit and read with feet up. It was a little chilly to sit outdoors and was so cosy indoors we didn’t make full use of the garden area but it is well equipped for sitting outside with a great view- there was a fire pit and barbecue.

Tailors Cottage is a beautifully presented home away from home. There were thoughtful touches and a very informative welcome pack with plenty of local guide books. The location was perfectly central with all you could need in walking distance. We had a great weekend away and would highly recommend anyone visiting the Ribble Valley to stay here!

Had a lovey Easter weekend at The Cottage, exactly what we needed. The Cottage itself was very well equipped and clean. Everything you could need was thought of and provided. The pub is only a short walk away and as we were lucky with the weather spent time in the lovely beer garden after our walks exploring the area, which is beautiful. Kim was very prompt in responding to enquiries both prior to our arrival and after we left. Great host and one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in. We would definitely recommend.

Bank House Cottage is an exceptional cottage to stay at. Hosts Veronica and Alan were wonderful, giving local recommendations and ensuring that everything was perfect for our stay. The cottage itself is beautiful and has an interesting history. It was sparkling clean and had all the amenities you could ask for. We also availed of the Hot Tub which was luxurious and very relaxing. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at the cottage and hope to return in the future.

The cottage is clean, cosy and everything you would want it to be from the photos. The views and surroundings are incredible. The host goes above and beyond. The communication, the little details and the generous welcome basket are all great examples of that. Thanks again.
