The house was beautiful and perfectly clean. We had a great time enjoying the surroundings and going out to Ottawa and Starved Rock

It was a great stay for me and my son and his wife and my two grandsons. The boys loved all the games and us adults really liked the pool table. Didn't get to enjoy the pool while we were there cause it was too early in the season, but all in all a really nice place to relax. It's got everything you need there minus the food of course.Give it a shot you won't be disappointed.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a quiet, pet friendly neighborhood with lovely views of the river. Everything we needed was provided and we liked the layout of the house. Regarding sleeping accommodations, there are beds for 6 people (2 queens with twin bunks above each) and additional sleeping options are provided via a pull-out sofa and 2 futons.

Bachelorette weekend for my daughter in law to be. Loved the pool and hot tub. Beds were very comfortable. Michelle was available for all questions. Great Host!

Absolutely loved our visit! House was perfect for our family of 5. Kids loved the lofts. We loved the cozy home, view, and proximity to Starved Rock & Matthiessen State Parks. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We come from Chicago a couple times a year to hike at Starved Rock, Matthiesen, etc, so we thought we would try staying for a full weekend. This place was the perfect fit. It was pet friendly, so our dog could come along, and it had great amenities at the resort. The staff was very responsive and easy to communicate with.

We had an amazing stay at Paula’s place! She was very helpful with checking in and also very responsive. The house looks exactly like the pictures. Nice neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again!

Great little place to stay, well taken care of too. Would like some more instructions on how the house is expected to look. Just to make sure we, as guests, are doing all we can. Would recommend otherwise though!

The home was missing a few necessities but the owner was responsive and brought the items within the hour.

This home was absolutely gorgeous. Everything from the 1950s decore to having modern amenities like TV and A/C, this place was a incredible jump back in time. After this weekend, my now Fiancé (purposed tto in beautiful Ottawa during this trip) cried as we pulled into the driveway. We have wanted to stay in the very rare and amazing Lustron Home for quite some time. I have never stayed at a more relaxing or peaceful place when traveling ever! The history decorated throught the walls and the many touches around the home feel inviting and tells a great story. Karen was great and easy to communicate with. Leaving a bottle champagne ment worlds to us, your amazing! We actually found it difficult to leave, we wanted to stay more! There is no doubt we will be back again. Thank you Karen for inviting us into your home and letting us witness History!

Tom's place was awesome. Clean and beautiful home nice patio up in the back for cooking out and relaxing close to downtown. Ottawa will definitely be going back.

The place was great for our families stay. Cozy and great size. Kids were able to run outside and we used the fire pit for s’mores. Able to enjoy dinners at the house and explore Starved Rock area nearby.

Great little house! Thank you to Matt and Stephanie for making us feel at home while we travel for work. The neighborhood is quiet and Over all great communication from the host. Definitely worth the pricing and location!

We were very impressed with our stay! It made being away from home a little easier. Katie was very friendly, and was quick to respond when needed. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to the area.

Cute farmhouse with a friendly owner and cows. There are a lot of ladybugs within the house but they do not bother. There is no stair railing to climb upstairs so keep this in mind if older guests who have difficulty with mobility are staying here. Will stay again.

We stayed at Elaine's place for a girls hiking trip. The house was exactly as described and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quit and peaceful. The location was just a short drive to Starved Rock State Park. The beds were comfortable after a day of exploring. The private backyard was very nice. We especially enjoyed the fire pit. I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again!

We only ended up staying one night as the weather was not cooperating with our plans. The place was cote and clean and close to the parks we were hoping to visit. Elaine gave lots of local recommendations. Hopefully we will be back sometime.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. There was so much to do and this was the perfect meeting place for three couples from different states to have a reunion! We had two small children, ages 4 and 6 and there was so much for them to do. Theresa was so thoughtful in the details for this place. From the art studio to the snacks to coffee, we felt right at home! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we can’t wait to come back!!

Joel was extremely responsive, understanding and flexible. His property is exactly as explained and shown. He was so nice & was super accommodating. Will recommend this to anyone I know coming to visit. Was clean, spacious & being able to sit around a large dinning room table after a long night of driving for hours was my brother and mother’s favorite part. We’ve never liked hotels and Joel’s place just ensured we’d never have to use one for visits or family functions ever again. Will 100% be back and recommend anyone wanting a quiet house with a nice amount of space over a hotel setting at a cheaper price to check out. Joel was a super host & I can’t thank him enough for making everything so easy and transparent! 10/10 recommend! Super family friendly home!
