The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Rainbow River Experience.

Located in Rio Vista which has it's own private gated 3 acre park on the Rainbow River! The park has bathrooms, pavilions, grills and a boat ramp - so BRING YOUR BOAT! Relax riverside at the private park where you can fish and swim. Park is five minute walk (2 blocks) from the home. Free for guest use are kayaks and paddle boards. They can be transported with the golf cart which has a hitch and kayak trailer. If your vehicle has a hitch you may to use it for other area destinations.

Rainbow Cove-Waterfront on Private Cove

Welcome to Rainbow Cove Cabin, a private oasis nestled in a quiet cove away from much of the tubing traffic on the Rainbow River but only seconds to the open Rainbow River with the kayaks included in your rental. You can also bring your boat and tie to our private dock and enjoy the 5.7 miles of pristine crystal clear Rainbow River. Although not a direct view of Rainbow River, our beautiful private waterfront cove directly adjoins Rainbow River for a memorable vacation.

Suwannee River Retreat

Beautiful, 3 bedroom, 2 bath home located on the historic Suwannee River. Get away from it all. Easy access to Fanning Springs (1.5 miles up river) and Manatee Springs (7 miles down river). Bring a boat, or two 2-person kayaks available for use. Great views from the deck and dock that overhangs the river. Very peaceful. Please note this is a rural area, it's wooded and can be dark. Get unplugged for a few days and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Suwannee River.
