The area provides open countryside which is popular with cyclists and walkers. “Fig Tree Cottage” is a recently completed conversion project finished to a high modern standard providing quality accommodation. There are a couple of pubs and the Lock House Pub serves food and takeaways.

Parking is available outside the cottage, and the train station is a mile away. Whixley has an excellent local pub The Anchor Inn , other local eating establishments are within easy driving distance. The Annexe offers excellent value for money. Comfortable, cosy and well equipped accommodation, everything you need for a relaxing stay for a couple of days or longer. Although it is linked to my home, It is self contained with its own entrance, giving guests their freedom and privacy.
