Houten huisjes in Lorne

Wat een prachtige plek aan de Great Ocean Road! Mooi centraal tussen Apollo Bay, Cape Otway Lighthouse, Johanna Beach en de 12 Apostles. En wat een uitzicht op zowel de heuvels als de oceaan. De cottage is vrij basic, maar alles wat je nodig hebt is er incl. een lekker bed en een goeie warme douche. En het is zo heerlijk rustig daar. We zouden zeker weer kiezen voor deze prachtige plek!

Great stay, short drive to the beach. Spa and sauna were easy to use with clear instructions from Paul on how to use both. Complete privacy separate the main house to the back where the bungalow is Would definitely come back again :)

We had such a wonderful stay at Jan’s place! From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She took the time to show us around the property, which was a lovely touch and made us feel right at home. Jan went above and beyond to accommodate us and our pup—she provided everything from a dog bed to wipes, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. The cottage and gardens were absolutely immaculate. It’s clear Jan takes great pride in the space, and it really shows in every detail. We especially loved relaxing in the sauna and outdoor bath after a long day of driving—such a perfect way to unwind. Sunny was a definite highlight too! We couldn’t recommend this stay more. Thank you, Jan, for such a memorable and comfortable experience!

This place was nothing short of amazing. The photos did not do it justice, as soon as we opened the door we were impressed. The room was immaculate, the bed and linen was great quality and the room smelt amazing. We enjoyed a wine tasting where we were easily able to walk back to our room, there was also a picnic basket that we took out and enjoyed some wine while still being at the vineyard. I would stay here again and certainly would recommend it to anyone who is looking to enjoy a peaceful environment.

Such a fab little cabin and location! Everything you need for a relaxing stay and the property itself is so much fun for kids (and adults)! Our kids absolutely loved the basketball court, the trampoline and swimming pool & spa. Peter was very friendly and switched on the hot tub for me. The grounds and cabin itself are kept really well. The beds are comfy, the split ac/heater works quickly and the kitchen has all the latest appliances to ensure you have an easy stay. Would definitely recommend and return!

We were absolutely blown away by Peter’s incredible property. We had a magical stay in the stunning surroundings. You don’t get any closer to nature than this. We had a brilliant time on the kayaks, relaxed in the sauna and let ourselves drift away in the spa. The accommodation had everything we needed and Peter was a great host. Highly recommended staying here.

We were looking for an amazing place to stay for our weekend trip and found it completely exceeded our expectations. The cottage comes with everything you need for a great getaway, from the fabulous beach only a short walk or the yummy cafe just down the road along with everything inside even some beautiful bread and jams. The bed was really warm and comfortable even coming with electric blankets if you needed some added warmth. We had the best two nights sleep we had in ages. Don’t miss a chance to stay at this great hideaway.

The little touches and attention to detail really made it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect too—quiet, convenient, and close to everything. Communication was easy and responsive throughout. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great stay in Point Lonsdale!

Thank you for the lovely stay! The cabin was cozy and the surroundings were peaceful, perfect for anyone looking for a getaway without straying too far away from the main town. Petrina was a wonderful host, greeting us upon arrival and was even welcoming of us having guests over for dinner. The place was clean, kitchen well stocked with everything we needed and the fireplace really added to the cozy atmosphere. Would definitely love to come back and stay again!

Great little cottage in a beautiful bush setting. Plenty of space for two couples, with comfy beds and everything we needed for a relaxed stay. Peaceful location, yet still an easy drive to Lorne. We really enjoyed our time here!

Loved staying at Rosie’s place. It was a perfect few days away from the city for me and my pup. Location is also great if you have a dog as there is a nice big backyard and a dog beach down the road. Easy to get around and explore. Rosie was also really great with her communication and recommendations. I hope to visit again sometime soon. Thanks Rosie!

I couldn’t speak highly enough of Fiona’s amazing farm stay! Such a beautiful cottage in an amazing location. So peaceful and relaxing, my fiancé and I wish we could live here! Everything about the stay is as advertised and so much more. Fiona is a great host and did an amazing job organising a beautiful bouquet of native flowers and a bottle of champagne on arrival for my fiancé. My dog had so much fun on the property. Felt right at home all weekend. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Thank you Fiona

Such a nice space! Great location, clean and it has lots of character!

The accommodation is cute and practical. Clean and tidy. Coffee, milk in the fridge. Ceiling fan was very helpful with hot weather at night. Chris was easy to work with, answered the phone and helped with good directions. BNB was near good restaurants, walking distance. I had a great stay.

Amelia’s home was truly a home away from home with such a warm space! This place had everything we needed to eat in, and only a hop-skip away from town. The fire place was lovely, and easy to collect kindling around outside. There was fire wood cut and available. We had a nice bottle of wine on arrival. Perfect place if the rains sets in with loads of family entertainment available inside - boardgames, toys for kids, smart TV and great family space as well. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a wonderful Weekend at this lovely cottage in Breamlea. The hamlet is so quiet and peaceful and the beach is a very short walk away. No need for the car once you get here. Alternatively, fantastic restaurants are a short 15 minute drive away in Torquay. The cottage is full of character and comfort for a wonderful stay at the beach. Would love to return

Bob and Pauline’s place was so beautiful and peaceful. It was the perfect place to stay for a few days of rest and relaxation. I couldn’t recommend a better place to stay in Geelong area. :)

If you are looking for great weekend away and have kids, this place ticks all the boxes. The cabin has the basics to get you through, but it’s all about the extra facilities, a pool, play ground, activities catering to kids, the beach across the street. The cabin aligns to what you’d expect from a holiday park, but the beads were comfy, the aircon worked, yet the owner was a champion. Clear comms, always will to help and friendly.

Couldn't fault the little studio. Very clean and freshly renovated a home away from home. All you needed was there, close to the beach and in walking distance. Major shopping centre by car 15 seconds by foot prob 1 minute. what else can I say a true gem.!!! Can't wait to be back.

A great place to relax and get away from it, plus the kids loved feeding the parrots.

Stephen was a good host, the property was in an ideal location backing onto the rainforest. We were thrilled to see glowworms that we’re at the end of the garden, meeting that we didn’t have to drive to the waterfalls to see them, we could simply just walk down the garden into the rainforest to see them. The cabin was pristinely clean, and nice and cosy with a very comfortable bed. Stephen was thoughtful, leaving condiments tea, coffee and recommendations on where to go to see waterfalls trails and restaurant recommendations which we really appreciate it. We had a great time and we thought the property was in an ideal location as it was so central and close to the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell National Marine Park, as well as the waterfalls and Californian Redwoods Forest which were less than a 10 minute drive away from the cabin. A note for travellers that the cabin is quite small, so it is ideal for single and couple travellers. We would happily stay there again.
