We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property on Lake Anna. We had 4 young children and 3 adults for our trip. We had plenty of space in the home, and the beach area was perfect for our children to swim. In addition to swimming off the beach, we enjoyed boating, tubing, kayaking, and paddle boarding. It was so nice to have kayaks and paddle boards included on the property. When we weren’t outside we spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch. Evenings were spent down on the dock with a drink watching the sun go down on comfortable chairs. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area as well. We ate at four different restaurants. Had no problem stocking up groceries at Food Lion and grabbing a few things when needed from Dollar General. The surrounding wildlife was big plus. We saw some cool birds and saw deer going across the property at dusk. It was our first trip to Lake Anna but won’t be our last.

The house was lovely for a family with four kids 7 and under. The lake, hot tub, and water toys made for a lot of fun. We did have an issue with construction being done on the dock without our knowledge for two of the days, but the owners mostly remedied the issue.

We had a great stay at the Blue House and can’t recommend it enough for your next trip to Lake Anna! The house was well-equipped, clean, and the host was flexible and accommodating with our check-in/out times. The property has beautiful, waterfront views and is located in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!

THE GOOD: Very nice place to relax! Lots to keep busy that the home offers. Fun games in the basement. A large in home movie theater that does not disappoint. A very nice tucked away private dock that was enjoyed every morning with coffee. More than enough space for the amount of people we had stay with us. Hosts were very responsive. We had everything we needed to have a great stay ! I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a lake house! THE BAD: We had one major issue that I wish was communicated to me sooner rather than later. This is regarding the pool not being open for our stay. These things happen, not a massive deal. The lake was perfectly fine to swim in but if there was an algae bloom we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the sunshine to its fullest.

Very nice, clean, comfortable house. Private & peaceful location! Perfect place to get away from work in the city. Host was very responsive and ensured we were taken care of. Thanks for a great stay!

House, pool area, yard and neighborhood were all lovely! Lots of nice extras like kayaks, outdoor gas fire pit, ping pong, corn hole, kids toys, etc. that made staying in the home enjoyable for the whole family. I only wish I had known more about the lake access near the home prior to booking. While it was easy to launch kayaks close to the house, there was very little space to walk along the lake and really no swimming access.

Upon arrival at this house in Mineral, VA, we noticed the house's openness, beautiful décor, and thoughtful aesthetics, which reflected a perfect blend of comfort & style that immediately made us feel at ease. The house was clean & amenities well-stocked (as described) ensuring there were no unpleasant surprises. Bedrooms were comfortable; beds were cozy, allowing us to enjoy restful nights. The house layout was perfect for socializing for a large group & we comfortably hung out. The KITCHEN exceeded all expectations -equipped with various appliances, stainless steel pots, pans (& nonstick) & loads of small items – This level of stocking made meal prep enjoyable rather than a chore, helping us create lasting memories over shared meals. minor drawbacks— a few rooms were a bit chilly (extra blankets were readily available) & the hot water supply was somewhat limited – this was minimal compared to the overall enjoyment we experienced. This house was the perfect getaway for our group of 10! It was easy to find, and check-in was a breeze. The home was spacious and comfortably accommodated everyone. Everything worked flawlessly — from the hot tub and kitchen appliances to the TVs and even the Pac-Man arcade machine— which made our stay even more fun and that more enjoyable. The property itself is beautiful, with easy access to the lake — a huge bonus. It’s truly the perfect spot at Lake Anna to relax, unwind, and enjoy all the comforts of home.

Such a beautiful cabin in an incredibly property by the lake. The home is spacious and so comfortable for our extended family to hang out, cook and play games. Lots of communal spaces to spend time together, but so many private areas for sleeping and for individual families. The home was incredibly clean and Mark was easy to communicate with. Thanks for the great stay!

Cathi's place was everything as described. The house was clean and the location was perfect for a remote getaway - far enough to enjoy peace and solitude, but within a few minutes drive to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The lake was close enough to walk (if you're up for it) or a close drive away. Cathi's house had everything you could possibly need as well - toiletries, spices and condiments for cooking, and even supplies to do laundry. The house was spacious enough for our family of four, and one dog, but felt very cozy and warm at the same time. I would definitely stay there again if we're in the area!

Terry was an excellent host. He was proactive in communication from the start to the end of our stay. Great house to stay in with your family for a weekend stay and liked how the home was completely remodeled to brand new. Was helpful for how Terry provided us with recommendations for local food and other attractions in the Gordonsville area. Would definitely stay there again.

I would rate this house a 5 out of 5. The house looked just like the pictures . It was very clean . The host was very responsive, she was great. My family enjoyed the fire place located on the side of the house . There appeared to be a spider issue in the house . We saw a couple and had to kill them. The shower in the basement was very small. Besides that my family and I had a great blended thanksgiving and would definitely rent again . Thank you for everything Angela !!!

Sarah couldn’t have been a better host. She’s so nice, accommodating, and understanding. She had the place clean as a whistle and is very responsive. Lots of space, comfortable beds, peaceful surroundings. There are lots of bathrooms, too and privacy. She was the best!

My friends and I, with our small children, had an amazing and relaxing time at the house. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed for cooking as a group. The different lounging areas throughout the house were so comfortable to cozy up and relax with different activities. The hot tub was nice to relax in after the kids went to bed. It was super close to Lake Anna and was nice to hang out and walk on the trails. Justin was incredibly responsive and attentive to all our questions and requests. It was great and we are so excited to come back again.

We had a fabulous stay and the hosts were very friendly and responsive. We had a question about the WiFi and they answered immediately, they also kindly provided extra linens at our request and we found them ready to go when we arrived. The location was great and the house had all the amenities we needed! Absolutely would recommend this home if you’re in the Mineral area!

I have to say, this house really set the bar for our kids. Great big house, two living room areas, four nice-sized bedrooms. The kids LOVED the games (arcade, shuffleboard) and the kitchen had lots of great extras (salt & pepper, etc). Our dog also had a blast, plenty of space to walk her in the backyard and down the street. We walked down to the Lake, which was available to us but not really a place to hang out. Highly recommend the thrift shops nearby (Plum Pickings, for one). Would absolutely stay here again!

I would definitely stay here again in the warmer months. The house was beautiful and the views were unmatched. We were a party of 10 and there was still so much more space and empty rooms. We went for a morning hike and played volleyball, walked to the lake, etc. This was extremely responsive! He is a great host

Rented this amazing location for a reunion with our friends. We had the best time, the new fire-pit was perfect for our hangout time, and we loved having a fire at night and reminiscing by it. The house had everything you need, all bedroom were nice, and the kitchen was well used and supplied. The big table for meals and games was great and we spend a lot of time there playing chess, Magic the Gathering, and Poker. The hottub was on time for us after a day spent checking out the lake and playing disk golf. Certainly really enjoyed that. Its worth mentioning they have a LOT of Tvs that are all very nice. As mega gamers we used the double TV setup in the den room to play Madden and watch NBA games at the same time. Really cant say enough good things about the whole experience and house. The owners were very responsive for anything we needed. Highly recommend this spot for family's & friends as it has more than most spots you will find. 10/10 / 5/5 all the above!

Absolutely loved Charles place. We were in the area looking to purchase a home and his place was central to where we looking. Peaceful, private and beautiful. Felt right at home, with a big private yard for the kids to play in. Host was super responsive. The living room and kitchen area are just gorgeous. Beautiful dining table and the couches are super comfy!

Lester was extremely communicative and helpful during our stay. The house was beautiful and was an awesome space to entertain.

This was the perfect little stay for a few bridal party members while attending a friend’s wedding in Louisa. The property was beautiful and the house matched the description well. Mary was very kind and instructions were clear on how to care for the house. Thanks again!

We (2 adults + 2 dogs) went for Thanksgiving week; we basically had Lake Anna to ourselves -- minus 2 of Mary's wonderful neighbors. The expansive property has tons of room for dogs to run, and the two neighbors we met had friendly dogs. Humans will love the firepit, screened porch, comfy outdoor, furniture, TV, bbq grill & smoker. Inside, there's TONS of room. The beds are comfortable & bedrooms are spacious, plus there are 2 full baths (1 w/tub), and a beautiful "French country" kitchen with which my wife fell in love. The kitchen had everything you'd expect/need and more like tons of spices, plenty of boxed/canned foods, a waffle maker, a Keurig w/pods, etc. We remarked numerous times how wonderful it was to have all this at hand (compared to other places we've stayed). There are toys for kids and dogs, a canoe, plenty of board games, and several TVs. It was a perfect, peaceful, and stress-free stay in a wonderful home; we'd choose it again without hesitation. Tracy was very welcoming, informative and accommodating. She was very available if we had any concerns. We were planning a boat trip on the lake and she helped coordinate a boat rental that led to a lovely day on the water. Her mom is cozy and tidy and we felt very comfortable there.
