We had such a wonderful time at Jennifer’s place, she was extremely helpful at check in and we felt right at home given just how peaceful and quiet the house was, perfect for our weekend away!

We loved the house and did not have to bring our dogs! Convenient and near everything.

We were looking for a last minute short stay, and this was absolutely perfect! We had fur babies, so we reached out prior to booking exactly like the post asked, and they got back to us very fast. It was a perfect place to stay at the beach with our pups. Thanks so much to this group for being awesome!

Very quaint looking neighborhood. The house are very nice even have like board games there which I thought was cool. Left earlier than expected arrived later than expected so I did lose out on today’s worth of money but other than that everything was perfect. The house is fully stocked with essentials that you need as far as cooking. Close to a Walmart, which is nice for buying food. They have a really cool fire pit outside which we did get some wood for it so the kids could make s’mores which they really enjoyed.Neighbors were quiet and friendly. It was overall really nice visit. Thank you so much.

We were in town to celebrate our son’s wedding. Casey and Carl’s home was the perfect place the to rest in between activities. The master sweet was an oasis amid very busy days. We loved the back fire pit to roast hot dogs and make s’mores. We highly recommend this home!

We really enjoyed the stay at the Cottage. We’ve been coming to OKI for years through Airbnb and haven’t been disappointed; this place was no different! Very clean, lots of kitchen tools/appliances, quiet street: we would definitely come back.

This is excellent rental for large families. They layout provides tons of space to spread out, while also having great common areas to congregate. The place was stylish, clean and with a great location and the hosts were friendly and responsive. This listing met or exceeded all of our expectations and I would highly recommend it.

Adorable little house! I stayed for 3 weeks while on assignment with my job. Super close to my work location, clean. Awesome pool!! If you forced me, I would have to say that the wifi could be faster (2gb). Otherwise, I loved it and would be happy to return! Thanks Allen!

Overall our family stay was amazing. Leading up to the trip communication from red awning was slow on any questions we had but once they set us up with the local host’s direct number, communications were great! The space was exactly as pictured and perfect for a large family. My kids felt right at home and loved the pool, ample outdoor play areas and even the adorable ducks in the pond. The only complaint we had was the level of cleanliness upon check in. You could tell that the space had been recently cleaned. Kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and even smelled fresh and clean, but the floors throughout the main areas of the house and the bedrooms were covered in dog hair and sand. Also some of the trash cans did not have liners in them, so that took some time to figure out where the trashcan liners were and to line all the trash cans. Overall, the house was amazing, we look forward to booking again for this summer!

Had a great stay at Heather's place! Great location. Quick walk to enjoy the beach. Hope to make a return trip! Heather is a wonderful host!

First Airbnb rental - location was awesome, easy access to the beach. Friendly neighbors and a great neighborhood. The home was spacious, the kitchen was more than adequately stocked with necessities for eating and cooking. There was adequate room, seating etc for our family. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the home and location. Sydney was very responsive to a few minor maintenance issues and quickly had them resolved. Thank you Sydney!

We had a great weekend. This is a wonderful home and dog-friendly. Our dog was at home and the location was perfect for us. Robert was extremely helpful and great to get to know. The next time we find ourselves heading to Oak Island, we will stay here. Thanks for everything! Ken

Giedre was unbelievable responsive to all of our questions and we could not have asked for a better location! The house is a very short walk to the public access beach. Would highly recommend!

The cabin was lovely and right on the river. We didn’t have much luck with the fishing unfortunately but that didn’t matter too much because we enjoyed how nice and peaceful It was on the floating dock. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the played a few games of cornhole that was available at the cabin. The cabin itself was cozy and no issues with cleanliness or odors as another review stated. In the photos the cabin looks pretty remote. However there are other homes/cabins next to it, so just be aware. The ones on either sides of us were empty while we were there so no issues. We loved the cabin and will likely be back for another weekend getaway.

This place was a home away from home. My entire family enjoyed our stay. We walked around the neighborhood and everyone was very friendly. A quick walk to the dock/pier to just enjoy watching boats pass by. I even saw dolphins one morning. It was a great area. The home was exactly how it was described. I would definitely stay again

We stay here twice a year for a week at a time, and this is our third year. Always a pleasure to stay here with our two dogs. Tile floors and throw rugs, great with dogs! Nice fenced in back yard and away from town. We enjoy staying here and visiting our family. Lorraine and Mike are the best hosts, and always happy to see them. I very much recommend the Hermitage.

This was an awesome place to stay in every respect. My labradors and I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt right at home. We would definitely come back!!

We enjoyed our first stay at Holden Beach! The house was clean and had what we needed. The walk to the beach was easy with our kids. We were able to bring our dog but just beware of stickers in the yard, we had to cut some out her hair. There were so many little frogs in the morning and our girls loved catching them. We mainly tried out Holden to find some shark teeth and we found many!
