I had an amazing time staying with Milan. Milan really makes sure you become a part of her family. They are warm and generous - happy to chat with you as much or as little as you want. I only stayed a few nights but feel I got to know them really well and hung out with them a lot. For a tourist, it’s a great way to experience Nepal and understand it better than you otherwise would. Milan provides two meals a day; one of these is a delicious dinner that is better than any Nepali food you can find in Pokhara’s restaurants! Milan’s homestay is located in the “real” Pokhara (i.e. where locals actually live), so it is ideal if you want to experience a true flavour of a Nepali city. Having said that, transport links to the more touristy lakeside are good: Milan’s family will always be happy to book you a taxi, you can take a direct bus, or download the excellent Patau app (a sort of Nepali Uber that offers taxis and cheaper scooters) if you have a Nepali SIM card. Milan has a washing machine which guests are free to use. This is ideal if you have a longish stay in Pokhara, or if you are going to/returning from a trek. Reliably hot showers are another bonus. The house itself and the room you will be staying are really nice and comfortable. I would highly recommend Milan’s homestay - I will never forget my time with her and hope to be back soon. KB's stay was exactly what we were looking for. The property is run by his parents - and they looked after us really well. From homely food to guiding us about nearby attractions, they went out of the way to help us out. The neighborhood is a very nice one - where you can engage in a game of football with the kids. Would definitely recommend KB's stay if you are planning a trip in and around Pokhara. :D

Buddhi and Wendy were WONDERFUL hosts! I immediately felt welcomed in their secluded little garden home (which is beautiful). I was able to enjoy Nepali meals with them, sit by the fire with them and just relax. It was just the vacation I needed. I loved our many conversations and felt like we had been long-time friends, even after just a couple days. They were also so helpful in recommending places around Pokhara, traveling and paragliding! I would highly recommend a stay with Buddhi and Wendy. You will love everything about their home and them!

Jagadish (Hotel Spring) is a perfect place for a stay in Pokhara. Well located, clean, well organized. Especially, the team was always prompt to help, provide answers, assist for bookings. To be recommanded !

Laxman was incredibly welcoming and helpful. As soon as we were near he came down the hill to pick up our bags. The room is gorgeous and the location peaceful and away from crowds. A very local experience. Laxman couldn’t do enough for us and his family are delightful. Highly recommended.

Hidden Paradise fully rises up to its name. Nestled in the hills surrounding Pokhara, it offers peace and a sweet escape from the noise of the town with spectacular scenery of the lake. It is a perfect place to recharge after a trekking, practice yoga or just chill in nature. The way to the nearest shops is walkable so it is not completely remote and makes place quite accessible. Just be mindful you need to climb a path for about 5 mins to get there but they can help you carry things up if you struggle. Overall, Laxman and his family were very welcoming and considerate, always following up on their guests and making sure they are comfortable and enjoy their time! I'd definitely come back and recommend this place for even a longer stay.

Amazing place- everything is outstanding: the view, the hospitality, Fatima's food, the vibe... it is really one of a kind. What a luxury in nowdays world to be able to disconnect from frenzy, immerse in such devine nature and be surrounded by a pristine environment. Highly recommended to the adventurers and to anyone in search of peace. it is a life changing experience !

Dipendra and his family were very welcoming. They were so nice to me from the beginning to the end of my stay. I was so happy that they welcome me during Covid-19 while many other places were closed and some were not willing to host guest but Dipendra and his family let me to stay there during my trip. Their place is very close to the fewa lake and good view of lake, mountain and paddy farm. Restaurant are in walking distance and they provide very delicious food too. Most of the time i ate with them as they were so friendly and helpful. WiFi was very fast and very good hot shower 🚿. Highly recommend Bishnu Homestay

Very warm and welcoming host. He suggests things to do around and can arrange for things as well. So kind of him to drop us back at the airport especially when the weather was very bad. We loved the stay! Amazing place.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Thupten’s place. It was a truly wonderful experience. Thupten is an amazing host. He is welcoming, warm, friendly, and very helpful. I enjoyed my conversations with him. Thupten’s Cultural and Trekking company, Tibetan Encounter, organised a trek to Annapurna Base Camp for me. The service was professional and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Thupten’s place to anyone who is visiting Pokhara. The location is perfect, and the room is cosy, clean, and comfortable.
