Our family has stayed here several times to be close to WCU. The only issue on this last visit was cell service was so poor we could not make any calls. Internet is always good in the unit.

Katelyn’s place was great! Great proximity to town- loved the outdoor space. It was perfect for our stay! Katelyn was super quick to respond to messages and overall super helpful! Highly recommend.

Extremely tasteful, beautiful and relaxing home! The amenities included everything one would need for your stay. The art, the amazing books and all the accoutrements for a grand sit down meal (prepared in a gourmet kitchen) were there. Loved the walk-in closets and available space for your clothes and items. We highly recommend you stay in this beautiful home.

Loved our stay! Traffic and road closures made us arrive after dark, so it was a little tricky finding the place—but the remoteness is part of its charm! The house was gorgeous and comfortable, and it had everything we needed. Any extra supplies we were able to purchase at the grocery store in town. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone! Thank you, Debbie, for being such a wonderful host!

We loved this home and the hosts! The 3 bedrooms and extra family room downstairs meant we all had room to spread out. At the same time, the family room and kitchen was a cozy gathering space and all the fireplaces were so fun! This was a great place for a chilly Thanksgiving week and we loved every second! And our dog was so happy here. The crate was perfect for the few times we ventured out without her. Love all the doggie details - bowls, poop bags, everything we needed!

The setting was absolutely beautiful and serene. The home was super clean and I was impressed that the mattresses had the covers to protect from bed bugs. We loved all of the seating on the front porch and by the creek in order to enjoy the natural surroundings. We would definitely like to come back again sometime.

The place is even nicer than the pictures. It's a beautiful retreat in the woods with lots of natural light. There are plenty of places inside and out to enjoy being alone or gathering with family and friends. It's kept very clean, well stocked with everything you need to cook and lots of linens and towels. The multiple fans and a/c make it comfortable on hot days. The walk down to the fire pit or the man cave by the creek is steep, but not difficult. You can drive up and down easily as well. It's only a few minutes from so many things to do. But if you sit on the screened in porch and watch the hawks and the cows grazing across the road, It's hard to want to leave. It's perfect for couples wanting privacy or families with children that need plenty of space to play in. What a true gem!

Very peaceful and secluded, cozy cabin with beautiful views! It has everything you would need to spend time with your family and friends. Diana provides pretty detailed instructions how to get there - just follow them, look for the signs with a street name, and you’ll get there. I would recommend going there in 4x4 with a descent clearance. Another Airbnb gem in my favorites!

Great place, beautiful view. Kitchen was well stocked and is a good stay for a long weekend. Easy to find and downtown Franklin has good restaurants and breweries. Plenty of trails nearby

Don and Renie are top notch hosts! They have thought of everything to make your stay perfect-snacks, drinks, comfortable mattresses, ample towels, games, and even a frozen pizza in the fridge! Their mountaintop rental has a beautiful view of WCU campus with comfortable outdoor spaces for soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Don has excellent local recommendations and is a great source of information regarding Western Carolina University. We felt so incredibly welcome! We’ll be back!

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Appreciated the small refrigerator and Keurig with pods. Clean bathroom with an exhaust fan. Plenty of closet and dresser space. I was very appreciative for the make up desk and mirror. We were in Highlands for a wedding and it was so convenient to have a place to sit and get ready! We had our morning coffee on the outside patio looking at the mountains.

We loved so much about this stay! View is wonderful and the porch is comfortable to sit and relax. Bald eagle spotted on Day 1. We enjoyed the fireplace!! Tom and Carol are wonderful hosts and went above and beyond expectations. They even replaced the grill in case we wanted to use it. The place is a lot bigger and spread out than I imagined. They have everythingyou need. Some fyi things ....they have robes to use if you wish (one less thing to pack!), the shower is adequate but small and has an overhead spray so if you don't want to wash your hair, bring a shower cap. Someone previously mentioned no windows in the bedroom.... but I loved how this made it completely dark, so no need to bring an eye mask. It was so nice to sleep in! 🙂 We loved our stay, as well as the hosts and would stay again. Thank you gracious hosts for the 5 star experience!!

Belinda and Ben were great host! The home met our needs as we were waiting to close on our home. The space worked well for my husband who was working remotely and also for the visiting grand kids. The home is simple bbut had everything we needed.

The location of this apartment is perfect! We walked anywhere we wanted to go in Highlands. The place is spacious, the kitchen has anything you could need, and the custom closet made unpacking and staying organized a breeze! We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our 3-night stay. Good layout for a family of 3 or 4. Thank you for your availability to respond to questions and being a great host.

I work remote and rented Damien's home for a month to disconnect and get away from big city life for a little, and it was the best decision I've ever made. This airbnb was perfect for me and my pup. It has a creek and hiking trail on the massive property which makes for extremely pleasant dog walks. I never had an issue with the Starlink wifi (and I had a lot of devices connected and take zoom meetings all day) while the home is super private and secluded, the town of Franklin with everything you need is less than 10mins away. No complaints about this house or homeowner, one of my favorite Airbnb stays ever and I will definitely be returning in the future. 10/10 would recommend!

Such a peaceful retreat in a beautiful setting. Waves of nostalgia in every nook and cranny of this house. Our family thoroughly enjoyed admiring the pictures, decorations, books and furniture! Preparing meals in the kitchen was an absolute treat. We have never stayed in such a well-equipped kitchen. The serving platters, cooking utensils, cookware and glassware were enjoyed by all! The home was clean and so peaceful. The fireplace was just icing on the cake! Everyone enjoyed our family trip and we hope to return!
