We really enjoyed our time at Jeffrey’s house for spring break! The location is perfect—close to so many great outdoor spots and hiking trails. The game room and hot tub were the cherry on top, especially since we had some wild weather during our stay, including heavy rain, river flooding, and even some tornado and hail warnings. Having those indoor options made a big difference and kept everyone entertained. We’d love to come back and explore more of the area when the weather is better!

We had a wonderful weekend hiking getaway here! Leah sent clear directions with photos that made finding the cabin a breeze. Cabin had plenty of room for all 7 of us and the view was amazing. We are already planning our next trip!

Our family had a great stay! We loved having a fenced-in yard for our dogs, and a hot tub to relax in after a long day of hiking. The white noise machine next to the upstairs bed was a thoughtful added touch! The host was very responsive, and answered the few questions that we did have. We would definitely stay there again.

Our daughter had wonderful experiences in her 2 stays, one with just her dog & one with her husband and dog. She had raved about this place and about Margo, so we booked at our first opportunity, & will return at the next. The house is well-supplied with every need, and the choices of seating are all comfortable. My husband has a back issue; at home, he sleeps mostly in a Lazy-boy chair. At Hill Top, he was able to sleep longer in bed, & napped in one of the comfy chairs. From the house, we took 3 different routes to sightsee, and each route had beautiful forests & farms along the way. Natural Bridge State Park, Stanton which has a lovely little family-owned restaurant, Beattyville where the 3 forks of the Kentucky River merge, Irvine and Ravenna have long historical ties to railroads, and of course, Red River Gorge are all places to enjoy. Even if one wants to spend a few days hanging out, this is a very special, peaceful place to spend time with yourself and with family!

Such a relaxing and nice place, me and my boyfriend celebrated his 30th birthday at this cabin and it did not let us down. Nothing to mention about this place other than the trip was not long enough! A must visit cabin if you are wanting to stay near the Red River Gorge. Thank you Leslie and Phillip for having a great place to visit, we hope to return soon!

Our family had a relaxing four night stay where we enjoyed the hot tub, ping pong table, spacious dining room, big screen TVs and more. The house is very clean, modernized with super fast WIFI, plenty of hookups for charging all your electronics, and all the amenities for making yourself at home. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, with country scenery and plenty of parking. We can see this becoming a family tradition thanks to the impressive experience we had.

Great place to get away from the city life. and as other reviews have said before. 4WD is recommended. and the free roam goats that are out there are pure entertainment. Amazing hosts as well

Do NOT hesitate to book this cabin! Being riverside in this gem adds to the serenity of the place. There is plenty of room indoors should you need to stay inside with board games, books, comfy couches, and throws to enjoy. You really are going to want to enjoy the outside though. The view from the deck is spectacular with hummingbirds feeding off the porch feeder on and off. The local bird watching in general is a delight while hearing all their beautiful songs. Be sure to take advantage of grilling and using the fire pit. There is so much attention to detail from Carla and it shows. In the evening, everything is beautifully lit outside with string lights and solar torches without distracting from the starry night sky. Also, the master bedroom has a stunning view to enjoy upon waking, but just know you will wanna stay in that bed for a snuggle. It is SO comfy I ordered the entire set for home on the second day. All in all, DO IT!!!! Carla is a gem of a Human with a gem of a cabin!

Really enjoyed our stay it’s so quiet and relaxing having the lake a few steps away it’s really nice. The house has a very welcoming feeling it’s great. Anytime we’re back in the area we will definitely plan to stay at Josie’s.

This cabin was extremely clean! We didn’t take advantage of the hot tub or fire pit because of the weather and how tired we were but appreciated the option. They have everything you need there and had a ton of doggy extras which is awesome for pet parents who may have forgotten something. There is a cabin next door but the guests there were very nice. We would definitely book again and recommend Liz’s cabin!

The cabin was beautiful and the location was quiet. The drive there took you through scenic views of Kentucky. We felt right at home with a well put together space that was made for a weekend getaway.

The place was absolutely gorgeous. The perfect place to relax and plug. The host was extremely helpful and responsive. Everything was clean and tidy.

We had an awesome experience booking with William. Cabin was immaculate and offered everything we were looking for. Very cozy, close to everything, and very private. If you’re looking for a quiet place to get away you can’t go wrong here.

Anita’s cabin was absolutely AMAZING!!!! Above expectations, great atmosphere very clean and very Dog friendly. Very comfortable bed and great layout. The surrounds outside were very nice and peaceful enjoyed having the fire pit and roasting marshmallows! Loved all the amenities that were included, overall we would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! Loved are Stay.

Couldn’t have picked a better place to stay.

Absolutely loved Bourbon Barrel cottages! Beautiful setting out in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Lose to distilleries and restaurants yet out far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Angie was out every day tending to the beautiful landscaping. They even offer fresh eggs on-site. Book this place next time you’re in bourbon country, you won’t be disappointed!

We had a great stay at Mountain Laurel with our four year old daughter and two dogs. Our in-laws rented Deer Run, the next cabin over and so we were able to easily explore the area together. :) We enjoyed RedPoint bbq (twice), Miguel’s, Daniel Boone Coffee shop and did the skylift to the State Park Natural Bridge. Stacey’s place was very clean and well-appointed giving the space a warm, welcoming feel. It was great to be able to take the dogs for a stroll along the very quiet country road. The Italian roast drip coffee was a great convenience which we enjoyed on the front porch. :) Thank you for the abundance of fire wood, we loved the fire pit, stargazing and imagining a big foot visit 😂

Away from generic hotels. Was a nice quiet area in nature with a little stream bubbling. Nice swing on the front porch. Everything was very clean and decorated great! Very quiet and relaxing. Thanks Danetta

This place was far off the beaten path next to the woods. We slept great. Debbie was kind and helpful. Newer couch,loveseat. NoTV channels but tons of videos and DVDs to watch. Some games and puzzles as well. We would visit again!

We absolutely loved staying at serenity cabin. The location was beautiful and peaceful. We loved watching the cows and their calves. The house itself is so comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is between Richmond and Berea and close to everything you could need. We all loved it and hope to come back again.

This is a fantastic house! Plenty of room for gatherings and families. Matthew is a fantastic host, quick to respond and helpful in making sure you have a great visit.

Lisa’s tiny home was so cozy, private, very clean/well maintained and had all of the essentials and necessities. Lisa was very communicative, and thoughtful giving us local recommendations on places to eat, and to visit during our stay. my husband and I really enjoyed our little weekend getaway, and hope to visit again soon! highly recommend staying here :)
