Bert’s apartment was excellent. It was even better in real life than on the pictures. We had two dogs and a toddler with us and were all very comfortable for the duration of our stay. Bert was an excellent host. Really friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend a stay with him.

Beautiful location for this fantastic flat with views over the harbour and over to Hoy. The additional outdoor space to relax is very welcome and compliments the comfort of the interior. Yuka was a tremendously helpful host but completely unobtrusive meaning the stay felt very private. Outside lights and railings on external stairs provided safety at night. Would highly recommend.

It was a great place to stay and was right next to the harbour. Check in was very easy. It was really clean and had everything we needed.

Ainslie’s place was very comfortable and her pictures don’t do it justice! It was a sizeable space with everything you might need including clear instructions and helpful info about Wick. The apartment was thoughtfully stocked with everything you might need during your stay. The only thing I would change is the shower. The mechanism that heats the water is quite sensitive, and the water went from very cold to scalding hot with a single click. If you have a long day of hikes planned, it could be an issue for you, but after our day of only driving, we were okay. In general, we were comfy and cozy and Ainslie’s place was a great stop-off point on the NC500.

A lovely contemporary cottage in a very peacful location. Having private access to a bank of the River Naver was a real privilege. Inside was immaculate, I wanted for for nothing. If I found myself travelling again to this part of the far north, I would happily stay at Rowan House again.

Absolutely loved my stay at Brodgar Cottage. Shawn was a kind and responsive host and gave a great range of recommendations for things to do. He offered a flexible check-in due to my ferry's arrival time which was much appreciated, and came to meet me and show me around the property. The house is comfortable and has everything you need, and is in an incredible location, basically equidistant from Stromness and Kirkwall, and with key sights walkable from the house itself. The parking space for the house is right outside the front door and keeps your car neatly off the road, with a potential additional one round the back if needed. The kitchen and bathrooms are clean and everything works well, there is a washer and dryer if needed too. The television is good and the wifi is strong! I would (and probably will!) absolutely stay here again happily, and many thanks to Shawn for being a great host.

Nice place, Great view across the bay, Great host, Place was very clean and tidy and would certainly recommend. Plenty of parking space. We certainly had a lovely week at this property.

Beautiful cottage in a wonderful setting. We appreciated all the special touches - including the kettle pre boiled ready for arrival and the bottle of fizz! Kitchen brilliantly stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Helen was so welcoming and helpful.The accomodation is outstanding ! Spacious living area with stunning views.Very clean and well equipped. So much to see here we were very lucky with weather too .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Reka Vik. The cottage was bright and light and well laid out. It is nicely furnished and had a well equipped and cosy dining kitchen. The location is brilliant. We loved sitting on the settee looking out at the view of Hoy, or sitting on the bench outside having a drink before dinner. We hope to return one day.

The Merchant’s was pretty well perfect for us. Lots of well appointed living space and four beautiful bedrooms with all the amenities. Such a glorious location overlooking the harbour from a beautiful garden. Two of us swam every morning. We really like being in Stromness itself. Such an attractive town with easy access to the great sites of Orkney. Wendy was very friendly and very responsive. All in all we could not recommend it more highly. Brilliant!
