This was our second long stay at Ida Cottage. It is in the right location for anything in Lumsden, is quiet, peaceful; up to date and perfectly clean and functional. Duncan is flexible and eager to help in any ways.

Perfect apartment stay. Grant is super welcoming and helpful. The space is roomy and immaculately clean. The kitchen was so well equipped with milks, spreads, juice and bread, gourmet muesli selection and a nespresso machine. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back/recommend to friends.

Hier ist Seele baumeln lassen angesagt. Eine toll eingerichtete (wir lieben die Badezimmer!), sehr saubere und gemütliche Unterkunft direkt am Meer. Alle nötigen Dinge wie Schampoo, Duschgel, Gewürze, Kaminholz sind vorhanden. Das Haus bietet reichlich Platz und ist trotzdem sehr gemütlich. Es gab ein Master-Schlafzimmer mit angeschlossenem Badezimmer, sowie ein Schlafraum mit Etagenbetten für 1-6 Personen/Kinder im Haus. In dem kleinen Kubus / Häuschen im Garten befindet sich dann ein weiteres Master-Schlafzimmer mit TV sowie ein paar Möbel. Im Flur gibt es dann das Master-Badezimmer mit zwei Duschen in einer Kabine (einfach toll). Also perfekt für ein Paar oder 1-2 Paare mit Kinder (max. 6P). Der Blick aufs Meer ist fantastisch, in einer Minute ist man am Strand (nahezu allein). Absolute und 100%ige Weiterempfehlung!! Cheryl tut alles dass es einem gut geht! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Jade & Carla's place is in an awesome location, overlooking the bay, with easy access to the beach. We felt we could relax in a comfortable Kiwi Bach with stacks of space. Jade & Carla were great at keeping us up to date with everything.

Our stay was fantastic from start to finish! The space was immaculately clean, stylish, and incredibly cozy, making it feel like a true home away from home. Everything was well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged, with all the essentials provided for a stress-free visit. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. The host was kind, responsive, and made us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely book again without hesitation!

Exceeded our expectations. Spacious, very comfortable, well equipped, and modern facilities. Everything exceptionally clean linen, room, crockery etc. Uli was a great host: welcoming and only to happy to assist where possible (without being intrusive). Great base for Hump Ridge walk whether a day walk or full circuit. Uli and her cottage are highly recommended - we will definitely be back.

Jenny has thought of literally everything! This is one of the best stocked AirBnb’s I’ve ever stayed in - even down to the kitchen utensils you didn’t know you needed, and hair straighteners! Very easy to find, super warm and cozy, and walkable to local eateries. Would definitely stay again!

Justine's place is a lovely, relaxing spot in a beautiful setting. It's a bit removed from restaurants and stores, so bring provisions. Justine is very helpful and responsive. After a day of hiking and sightseeing, it's a perfect place to relax in solitude, build a fire, and gaze out across the landscape

I had the pleasure of booking the Kawau's Airbnb, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment our staff arrived, they were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The space was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything they needed for a comfortable stay. Anneke was an incredibly thoughtful and attentive host, always available to answer any questions, and made sure they had everything they needed to feel at home. The location was perfect—quiet, yet close to local attractions, making it easy to explore the area. On the night of check-in, the car broke down 10 km before reaching Gore. We had to wait for a tow truck. I informed Lorraine about the situation. Lorraine volunteered to come pick us up. The next day, while waiting for Go Rental to replace the car, Lorraine and Mike allowed us to check out late. Thank you so much.

This was the second time that I’ve been staying at the Crib. It’s the perfect place for a getaway close to the beach. The place is super cosy and just a short walk from and to the beach. Ideal set up for children, too. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for everything.

We had a wonderful stay! The place had everything we needed, and it was clear that Mike had put thought into making guests feel comfortable and at home. The toilet was immaculately clean, which was a lovely touch. The kitchen was well equipped too. But what really made our stay special was the peaceful surroundings. It was the perfect antidote to our busy lives, and we felt rejuvenated and refreshed after our stay. Thank you, Mike for sharing your lovely home with us! This is a beautiful location and a cosy, nicely equipped house. We stayed in April when the weather was getting cooler and were delighted by how warm the house stayed over night. Great location for exploring the Catlins, well equipped and nicely maintained
