Sheelin Shamrock Lodge - An Individual Lake Cabin

Sheelin Shamrock Lodge is situated at Lough Sheelin in the heart of Ireland's lakelands. There is access to the shoreline with a private jetty. The lodge boasts stunning views across the lake which is famous for trout and coarse fishing. Watching the evening sunset from the lodge veranda while cooking a steak on the charcoal bbq provides the ultimate tranquil getaway. We live in a country area 15mins from the airport, 3miles to Antrim and Randalstown with shops, restaurants and pubs. 25 mins to Belfast and 45 mins to the North Coast. Castle Gardens only 5 mins drive with beautiful gardens and walks to the lough shore.

But if its fishing your interested in then check out Lough Lene and Lough Bane, or one of the many other lakes around us.

Connected to our house yet entirely private, it has its own entrance, driveway parking, a double bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom, though no separate living room. Perfectly situated for exploring local attractions, and just 20 minutes from Dublin Airport. We recommend a car as public transportation is limited & slow, and taxis can be costly.

An Lochta is a converted , two story, 19th century grain store, surrounded by a mature and carefully tended garden on a small farm, set in the idyllic rustic peace and quiet of rural Co Meath. Despite our seclusion, we are just 10 minutes from the M1 motorway, 1 hour from Dublin and within easy reach of the major historical sites of Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan. (Unfortunately the layout of the building renders it unsuitable for wheelchair users).
