Houten huisjes in Monteverde

Best airbnb I’ve stayed at, and I have stayed at a lot of different ones in various countries. The view overlooking the rainforest, the patio with a hot tub and shower, the level of thought and detail that was put into the house and amenities, it’s all absolutely incredible. Would not hesitate to book here again.

Very nice Airbnb that is beautifully furnished with love. It has a nice big terrace where we loved to have our coffee in the morning. Perhaps you will get visited by a cat or a dog from the neighbourhood. Both are really adorable and we enjoyed chilling with them. They are not aggressive in any way. It was a bit difficult for us to find at first, but our host helped us very quickly. Once we arrived, we immediately felt at home. The only small drawback: The neighborhood is a bit remote from the town center with all the restaurants, which means you have to take the car every time to get somewhere. But that wasn't a big problem for us. However, we did not feel unsafe or uncomfortable at any point. To sum it up: We fully recommend this place and would live to come back.

We had a family of four and stayed in Monteverde for 2 nights here. The airbnb was easy to find with the clear instructions from the host and place was very clean. It is just a few minutes drive from all the restaurants and shops and next to a night tour as well. The kitchen was well furbished and we were able to cook a meal and drink some wine in the comfort of the airbnb. The host was very responsive and had great suggestions and also offered to book tours for us. We would definitely come back!

Magical honeymoon escape in Monteverde! This place was absolutely perfect for our romantic getaway. Tucked away in the lush cloud forest, the cabin was cozy, beautifully designed, and felt like something out of a fairytale. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying our coffee with those stunning views. The privacy, peacefulness, and charm made it an ideal honeymoon spot. The host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Monteverde is such a special place, and staying here made it even more unforgettable. Highly recommend for couples looking for a dreamy escape!

¡Jose fue un anfitrión que fue más allá en todo momento! Desde que hice la reserva se encargó de dejarme saber todo lo necesario para tener una estadía cómoda y sin complicaciones. Dormí de manera formidable en la gran cama del lugar, con las almohadas tan cómodas que ofrecía y las cobijas ideales para el clima que nos hizo. Además, el jacuzzi fue un complemento estupendo para disfrutar aún más de nuestro viaje por Monteverde. Con un carro se facilita muchísimo llegar al lugar, y cuenta con todo lo necesario para pasar un gran tiempo en las cercanías de Monteverde. ¡Con gusto volvería!

Incredible place to stay near Monteverde. The pictures don’t do it justice - this was such a beautiful location and view. A quiet, safe, relaxing spot to watch wildlife off the back deck, or see distant lightning storms as you fall asleep in the comfortable bed. Would highly recommend staying here.

This was the most beautiful view I have ever seen from a house. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice view of the mountains and Pacific Ocean. It was the perfect honeymoon destination. Excellent host!

Great stay in Monteverde. The location is beautiful and close to everything while also being very private and quiet. We enjoyed the trails right out the back yard and the STUNNING view from the patio. Juan was very helpful and when I forgot an item, he was prompt and helpful to get it shipped back to me at my next location. 10/10 recommend!

Luis was a great host that went out of his way to help us when we had car troubles. His home is really cozy with an amazing view. The mattresses are firm and comfortable, and the shower had great pressure and really hot water (rare and so appreciated at airbnbs in Costa Rica). Thanks again Luis, we will come back when we fix the car 😆

Great host, very friendly and accommodating! Great location, too. Far enough from town that you feel safe and secure, but close enough that it’s not an inconvenience to drive into town.

Great spot in Monteverde. It’s only a few minutes from the town center but the house is 100m/yards off the road so it is still nice and quiet. Perfect for couples, close to amenities and activities, private, and has a very homey feel. If you’re debating between this place and a few others, just book this place.

Edith was a wonderful host and was very welcoming. We enjoyed visiting with her! Her animals and family were sweet too. We walked into town at least twice a day from Airbnb, you don’t have to worry about finding a parking spot as you leave you car secure inside the gated yard. We would definitely stay here again as we want to explore this area more.

Heerlijke locatie met zeer vriendelijke host. Ontbijt op aanvraag voor zeer redelijke prijs. Op loopafstand van het centrum van Santa Elena maar toch landelijk. De locatie is simpel maar heeft alle basis benodigdheden. Mooie uitvalsbasis voor alle activiteiten in Monteverde.

Disfrutamos cada segundo de nuestro hospedaje en Casa Cielo. ¡Nos sentimos como en casa! Nos encantó el baño de tina viendo las estrellas, la hamaca en el balcón al atardecer, los senderos alrededor de la casa, la privacidad y cada detalle especial de la casa. Definitivamente volveremos.

We had the most relaxing stay with an unbelievable view all the way to the Gulf of Nicoya! We loved this place and it was the perfect way to relax in Monteverde!

Nice place to stay in Monteverde! Excellent accommodations and lodging space. We opted for the additional breakfast in the morning which was delicious before our tour in the Cloud Forest. Would recommend to anyone staying in Monteverde!

La cabaña es muy bella, tranquila, equipada con todo lo que se requiere. Es una opción para descansar. Unicamente es alejada del centro de población, se requiere vehículo permanente para los traslado. No es conveniente para personas solas, porque es muy retirada.

EL SOL is extraordinarily beautiful! It's hard to describe how special it is- the gorgeous natural surroundings, the wonderful food, the unique and refreshing pool and the beautiful mountains surrounding the area. I could have stayed a long time and regret that our stay was so short. Thank you Susanne and Javier for such a wonderful time and the attention and love you have put into EL SOL! We will be back!

Wat een heerlijke plek! Het koffiehuisje is knus, sfeervol en ligt midden in de natuur ☕🌿 We hebben genoten van de rust en het prachtige uitzicht. Gloriana is supervriendelijk en reageert snel! De weg ernaartoe is wel pittig (onverhard), maar met een beetje geduld goed te doen. Absoluut de moeite waard!
