Restored 90 year old farm building separate from house overlooking the McPherson Ranges and Mount Barney on a 17 acre farm block with animals. Great place to stay if you are walking Mt Barney, Mt May or Mt Maroon - 40 mins drive north. The cottage can accommodate 3 people using a queen bed and a trundle bed (extra $15/night). The cottage runs on solar power (off the grid); gas cooktop; gas hot water; septic toilet; tank water and wood heater. Dean's shed is overflowing with stories and harness.

Hinterland barn on 18 acres - national park access

This uniquely built barn situated in the Gold Coast hinterland is within walking distance to national parks. Made from recycled wharf timber, the barn is set on an 18 acre farm beset by green lawns. A king bed with ensuite, seperate shower & bath make up the loft bedroom. Downstairs features a second bathroom / laundry, fire place, lounge, study, sofa bed & self inflating bed (linen not included), dining & fully equipped kitchen before walking onto a large deck. A true countryside escape.

Cheese Maker's Cottage

Historical 1930's cabin. Once the home of the resident cheese maker. Restored to suit the style of the time. Situated on a cattle property in the picturesque McPherson Ranges. Has a fishing dam closeby. Sits below Mt. Edinburgh Castle. The property is part of the ancient Gondwana rain forest. From Woodenbong, take Glennie Street, which becomes Boomi Creek Road, keep on the sealed road at the Brumby Creek turn. Travel a further approx 6km. Our place is not suited to young children.

Little Mountain escape

Our cabin is absolutely private. It offers a serene and comfortable escape from city life. Here you can relax, read a book, enjoy the sounds of nature or explore what the mountain has to offer. Try some of the great local food & cuisine. Visit the local wineries. Picnic and watch the sunset over mountain views, check out the national parks for some great walks & rainforest trails and create lasting memories as you toast marshmallows and enjoy the flickering flames of the firepit.

Here is your opportunity to relax… or be active – surrounded by a very special part of the Gondwana rainforest, less than 50 minutes from the hustle and bustle of those bright lights of the Gold Coast. Yes, that’s what you’re seeing from the breakfast bar.

Rustic Mountain cabin

Our two story cabin is a peaceful private getaway near the golf course at Mount Tamborine. It is set on a fully fenced 1/4 acre block with lovely surrounds. It features a spacious open plan downstairs area with a kitchen, lounge, dining table, fire place and pool table whilst upstairs is the bedroom (double bed and day bed) opening on to a balcony. The cabin was built to celebrate the life of our son who served with 2RAR and has some of his memorabilia.

This architecturally designed cabin positioned on the edge of a Springbrook gorge makes the most of the stunning hinterland views and gives it’s guest an experience like no other.
