Whether for a short break or weeks stay you can enjoy all that this area has to offer as Calla Beach House makes a great base to tour and sample the beauty of Connemara.

Our studio apt is in the heart of Carraroe, 10 min walk will get you to the village where you'll find pubs, restaurant, shop, chemist and library, there's 4 beaches, the unique coral beach ( Tra an Doilin) is only a 3 minute drive or a scenic 20-25 minute walk ,well worth the walk, 10 min drive will get you to Ros a' mhíl (Rossaveal) port where you can get a ferry to the Aran Islands, we have high speed internet in the apt, you can catch a bus frequently to Galway city down on the main strip

Possibly one of the most beautiful views and locations overlooking Dogs bay beach and sitting at the foot of Errisbeg hill, 6 minute drive from the picturesque fishing village of Roundstone. Surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery on the west coast of Ireland. Looking out across the Atlantic Ocean at the Aran islands, gurteen beach and dogs bay beach. Hill climbing to the rear and beach walks to the front of the cottage, there are possibly few locations to compare with this cottage

The Blue Yard

The Blue Yard is a tiny home on the beautiful drive-on island of Aughinish, 12 km outside the sea-side town of Kinvara, named one of the top ten beautiful villages in Ireland. Aughinish Island is accessed by a 1 km causeway (not tidal) and is an area of unspoilt beauty with local pebble beaches a five minute walk away and the sandy beach of Traught a ten min drive away (8 km). You'll be staying on the Clare-Galway border with both the wildness of the Burren and Galway city at your doorstep.

This private studio apt has everything you'll need for your stay, including a private entrance, en-suite bathroom, kitchenette with all the appliances you'll need. You can walk to the sea in just under one minute while unwinding in our sauna after. At Curlew Beag, We have an Irish saying that goes 'An té a bhíonn siúlach, bíonn scéalach', which simply translates to 'he who travels has stories to tell'. Surrounded by excellent coastal and hill walking terrain, it is also a 10 minute drive from the Wild Atlantic Way, the town of Westport and the Great Western Greenway. It is a bright, comfortable and contemporary home. The house is set in beautiful semi-wild gardens with views of Croagh Patrick, Ireland's holy mountain. With all modern facilities, it includes an outdoor patio and a barbeque area beside the sea.

It is a perfect retreat for Couples and Solo Travellers especially, and a complimentary home cooked meal will be included at no extra cost for all those single guests travelling alone, if they wish.

The chalet is 5 minutes’ walk of the seashore, with numerous beaches nearby. A pub, a supermarket and a post-office are all within 15 minutes’ walk. We are near An Spidéal, where you can find cafés, pubs, shops, restaurants, pharmacies, a medical centre, and a craft village. Located in the heart of the Irish-speaking Gaeltacht, near Galway City, and on the Wild Atlantic Way, we are in an ideal location to explore Conamara, the Aran Islands and County Clare.
