My husband Laurence is from Barnsley so we're quite regular visitors to see family and he was familiar with the apartment's location as the old Barnsley Permanent Building Society - you could not be more central with a great view of the Town Hall. The building has been sensitively restored into a majestic apartment block and the flat itself is lovely: tastefully decorated, well equipped, spotlessly clean with a really comfy bed and great towels. You can tell that David has put a lot of care and attention in making a genuine home from home so its perfect if you're staying for a flying visit like we were or a longer stay. It's in staggering distance of all the bars and restaurants and we absolutely loved it! Will definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful stay here for 2 nights while we visited the surrounding areas, it was an ideal location for us! Lovely, clean and well presented home which we would happily stay in again. Host was very helpful and replied promptly with any questions. Thank you for a lovely stay

Clean and comfortable! Great jumping off point to explore the peaks district. Very reasonable walk to the centre of town with lots of food options. Do be wary of the stairs into the flat, as they are very steep, and the second bathroom is also very tight. People with mobility issues be aware of these limitations. Thanks for our stay, we had a lovely time.

This is self-contained first-floor apartment, finished to high standard, and well fitted out with everything you’d need for a stay here. Alan and Carole are lovely people, helpful and caring, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

This is my second stay here and it was just as lovely as the first. So comfortable and tidy and in a great location too. I really love this apartment and hope to come back in January for work :) Penistone is so beautiful! Thank you so much Ben it was lovely as always!

Ideal place for our needs. The flat is very clean, comfy bed and has off road parking. Beautiful area for a walk around a local reservoir which is only a few minutes walk. A local pub which is about 15 minute walk.

Good location shops and restaurants walking distance, very comfortable room and quiet. I have stayed a couple of times and would go back again.

Lovely apartment - well equipped kitchen. Up quite a steep hill but within walking distance of coffee and pubs and restaurants. Nice town and lots of good walks nearby.

We had a delightful long weekend in Karl's flat. Everything was just as we expected from the listing on Airbnb, Karl was very easy to communicate with and helped us settle in, so we felt right at home straight away. The flat is very comfortable, has everything you need, and really feels like a home from home. I'd recommend it, and look forward to staying there again next time I'm in Buxton.

We had a lovely stay at this property! We booked extremely last minute due to other accommodation falling through and were pleasently surprised by how modern, clean, and comfortable the flat was. I would definitely book again.

a lovely place to stay, perfect for 1 person (though would fit two people). the host very kindly messaged prior to mention they supplied milk, butter + bread, noticed I was vegan and provided alternatives! there was tea + coffee provided, plus lots of seasonings and condiments in the cupboards should you need. comfortable bed, clean + tidy space and perfect for a 3 day trip. would definitely recommend :)

Great location for the Peak District! Lovely accommodation. Tony was incredibly responsive, gave good instructions on how to arrive and was helpful whenever I contacted him, you can tell a lot of thought has gone in to the space. The shower was lovely and powerful. Something that was really appreciated after the long walks. Bed was really comfortable and seemed much larger than a queen size bed, sheets were lovely and clean. Appreciated having a parking place so close to where we were staying. Views across to the reservoir were amazing, we took a walk across the road to it and they were lovely, beautiful nature walk along the reservoir just across the road. Peaks cavern only 40 minutes away and the b29 crash sight parking only a 15minute drive away. Would recommend this stay and will definitely be returning.

This was a beautiful place to stay. Anthony the host was friendly and helpful and came to greet us upon arrival. The apartment was delightful and the kids especially loved the mezzanine bedroom - a really exciting treat. We felt right at home and can't wait to come and visit again. 100% recommend this place for both couples and families with one or two children between the ages of 6-14.

Really enjoyed our one night stay at Brewer’s Cottage. Everything was as described, check in was easy and the cottage was well equipped and very clean. Thank you Penny ☺️

This was a lovely weekend break and the apartment was beautiful. The instructions Kathryn provided were accurate and assisted by images. The apartment itself is beautiful and homely. Barlow is a great central point for many areas which we appreciated. The Peacock across the road is perfect. Dog friendly too. All in all, a fabulous stay in Barlow.

We had a fantastic stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very spacious. It has everything you need. We had a toddler and a baby and there was plenty of space for a travel cot in either bedroom. The location is perfect, a short walk to the centre of town but the property itself and particularly the garden feels very tranquil. Gareth and Charlotte were very responsive to messages and we saw them a few times during our stay when coming and going but not at all intrusive. Overall it was a great stay and we would absolutely stay again next time we come to Buxton. Thank you.

Elizabeth was a brilliant host and communication was faultless. Accommodation was spacious and spotless. Would highly recommend staying there to anybody and would definitely stay there again.

This is a really comfortable apartment , and all the rooms far more spacious than the photos look. The kitchen was modern, immaculate and had everything there, I wish I had made greater use of it during our short break. The place is really quiet, bed huge and comfy with top class shower to follow. Off street parking was a bonus , although it didn't look an issue on the road outside anyway. Everything worked just as described by Martin and Michelle. The decor was nicely done too .

we have stayed at Jenna's apartment a few times now . it is an excellent place to stay, a nice spacious and well.presented apartment right in the middle of Buxton town centre, but quiet and peaceful. we will stay again, and will carry on recommending it to our friends and family.

Excellent and very clean accommodation. Easy to walk to the centre of town in 20 mins. The kitchen was very well equipped. This is an excellent accommodation and many thanks to Ashleigh for making us welcome.

Amazing spacious apartment in the heart of Sheffield, yet hidden from the loudness of the streets. It is close to Crucible and other main attractions. The faŕct that you can park your car comfortably in private space is just a bonus on already great offering. I’ve stayed in a dozen other places nearby but this one is definitely the best value for your money.

Really good stay, private and cosy accommodation. Diana was very responsive and easy instructions. Would recommend this place to stay.
