The Paddler's Rest is a relaxing guest house on Kings Creek in Mathews County with direct access to the water and a private porch. Very secluded but close to town for restaurants etc. Guests have free use of a canoe and 2 kayaks. Great area for biking--all roads lead to the water and Mathews County is perfectly flat! "The Little Red Cabin" aka The Galley

Called the "The Galley". This is the first cabin built on the property. Right on the water with views of the Bay and beach. Galley kitchen, bedroom, small bathroom with shower, family room with a fireplace and dining area. Big screened in porch w/ fabulous breezes. Literally, right on the water!!! NO PETS. Parking for 1 car.

Charming Yorktown Battlefield Cottage

Kick back and relax after a day of touring the historic triangle. This space was originally built as an artists studio for renowned folk artist Nancy Thomas. The amount of natural light is wonderful and there are still some paint remnants from its former days as an artists studio adding to its unique character and history.
