Guests should be prepared for a bit of a disheveled place but gregarious and welcoming hosts who have led a fascinating life. You’ll meet ducks, chickens and sheep - all of whom would like to come inside with you. Brian is delighted to explain the features of their Earthship (our primary interest). These kind hosts toured us around the town and took us for an evening walk to look for glow worms. Guests share a bathroom closed off with just a curtain and featuring a composting toilet.

I have no words that can make justice to such a beautiful landscape. I feel super lucky to have done this stay and the trek. Everything was excellent and way above expectations. Thanks a lot Tom and Katie for keeping this track maintained and allowing people to hike in your land. You are very generous.

Beautiful surroundings - stunning weather- river to swim in - gorgeous home - indoor/outdoor living- lots of space for children to run around in - fruit trees - feeding the chooks and sheep - whilst having breakfast under the grape vine - What More Could You Want for!!❤️

Immediately feel at home in this fascinating little cottage, built out of natural materials and decorated with art & creations that give it a unique and cosy feel. Our host left us a special little welcoming gift of fresh baked bread which we absolutely loved, while enjoying the delightful evening watching the cows in the field. The pub was friendly and the store was very interesting. Definitely a memorable experience, highly recommend especially if you are a creative or inquisitive person. This is the most special place we stayed in our 4 weeks in New Zealand. The lodge feels absolutely like home and casts a spell you will never forget. Pete was a such a warm and funny presence—always ready with a quip or a laugh. The room we had, and the main house, are beautifully designed and the interiors are warm, authentic and serene. Extremely comfortable bed and top notch bathroom facilities. You will definitely want to stay longer than whatever time you have booked.

Loved every minute of our stay. The scenery is captivating as the houses are nestled at the base of Orowhana, facing directly towards Te Kohuroa. The hot tub was a hit, we kayaked, made pizza, enjoyed the fruit trees and fire place. Hamish, te kaitiaki, was very accomodating and helpful. The beds are comfy, and the kitchen has everything you need. Also loved that every wharepaku had bidets! I could spend weeks, months or even years here haha. It has all the things you need for an incredibly rejuvenating glamping/retreat. We will definitely be back.

We had the most restorative and peaceful stay at Donna and Dave's place! Their straw bale home was tranquil, beautifully designed, and had amazing views. Donna was a super responsive host. We highly recommend them!

We loved our time here. Sharlene was helpful and we had no problems finding the house or while we were there The kitchen was supplied with so many extras including basic food items and cooking equipment etc. All the bedrooms were super comfortable and overall we felt totally at home. A special family time for us all. It rained the whole time we were there but we embraced the quiet and loved the bird life. A family of Tuis in the enormous Puriri tree kept us entertained! I would totally recommend to anyone.

The three nights we spent at Alpine Lodge was not nearly long enough to enjoy all the lovely facilities. The teens (and dads) loved the games room. Well laid out, very welcoming home. Bathrooms are fabulous.

Such a great home to stay in. We were two families and it worked perfectly! Plenty of everything that you need. Kids loved the games room and plenty of towels were provided which is needed with kids in and out the spa! Fireplaces were amazing with plenty of wood! There is nothing that they could have done differently! This will be our go to Queenstown home!!! Excellent amount of space for everyone to relax and have fun in!

We had a wonderful stay at Nattaya's place. The apartment was comforting and had everything we needed in a quiet, serene setting.

Love the design of the house, the host must have put lots of thoughts into designing such a classy house and such a peaceful location. Could have some more fans inside the house to improve ventilation given we could not always open the door in order to prevent the insects flying in - it was fine during the night but could be an issue during hot summer day. We were out during the day so it wasn’t really a problem for us. Overall we love the place and thank you team for the responsive support!

A very comfortable house, with such good vibes, welcoming from the off! A fabulous view to contemplate over a wine and dinner in the evenings. Communication with Rachel was easy before and during our stay. She was very accommodating. We recomment you tap into her wealth of knowledge regarding the local area.
