We are first time visitors in Skipton and glad we stayed with Mel and Jason's place. It was near to the place we were meeting with friends so that comes handy with us getting uber to and from the place. We were out much of the day so it's just nice to come home to a cozy place. Mel and Jason were responsive and timely with their reminders. They also offered some bread, eggs and butter which was thoughtful.

Happy with all aspects, great location for those visiting Whitby. We were only there for a wedding but as was so close to the town we walked down on our last day for a couple of hours. Road parking is fine, plenty of room where you can see the car from the house windows. All good, thank you

This was our second stay here as we loved it the first time but unfortunately it was a very quick stop over that time. Both Diane and Robin are the most lovely hosts, they are really helpful and so friendly. We stayed for 3 nights this time and found absolutely everything we could possibly need already in the fridge and cupboards, including bread, milk eggs, tea, coffee sugar there were alsorts of packets and tins of food too!! The beds are comfy, the shower good and powerful, you can control the heating yourself so not too cold or hot, the WiFi is great . We accidentally left an item behind when we left, I immediately contacted them when we realised it was missing and Robin sent it back to us 1st class post on the same day!! Thank you Diane and Robin for another brilliant stay and hope to stay with you again in the future x x

We really enjoyed our visit. The location is excellent for all the lovely things Masham has to offer including the bakery, grocers, fabulous butchers and gift shops and of the course the local beer ! We enjoyed lots of walks, the information pack has a great selection of local walks and the tourist information shop has maps and more options. We found the place to be really comfortable and ideal for our waking holiday with the dog

Very well renovated cottage. Modern, stylish but still homely. You won't notice road noise hardly at all with the windows shut. I'm not so sure about the open shower design, we ended up getting water everywhere in the bathroom but that's just how they're designed 🤷‍♂️

A fantastic experience from start to finish. The cottage is set in a beautiful rural setting with lots of great walks accessible without having to drive anywhere. There is a great local pub a 5 minute walk along the lane and plenty more a short hike away. Jim and Diane were the perfect hosts - respecting your privacy whilst always being available to answer any questions. The property was wonderful and perfectly set up for my elderly mother who has mobility issues - extremely comfortable with fantastic views of the surrounding fields and hills. We will definitely make a return visit in the future and thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday. Many thanks for a wonderful Easter break.

Just back from a lovely weekend at Hilltop snug. Location was perfect for walking into Pateley and the 2 parking spaces were a definite bonus. The house was very well equipped and had everything we needed. We stayed with 3 children and a travel cot, high chair, stair gates, children’s crockery were all included with was very helpful.

Despite the horrendous weather and power cuts we had a great relaxing few days in a cosy warm environment,and are looking forward to returning. Jeff was a fantastic host and nothing was too much trouble.

Highly recommend this listing and the host Lucy! The location is perfect for exploring. Lucy provided thoughtful touches like drinks, milk, toast and bread which made us feel right at home.
