The old Piggery was perfect for our family (including dogs!). The place itself was bigger than what we were expecting and had everything we needed. Super clean and great water pressure. If Jenny will have us back we would love to have this as our go to stay when we are visiting friends and family. Thank you so much.

Had a wonderful stay with friends at Amelia’s , couldn’t ask for more beautiful surroundings. Lovely warm place despite being freezing outside when we arrived; a surprise for a big house! Amelia was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. Highly recommend !!

Our stay with Victoria was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was available whenever we needed it and Victoria's cats were particularly friendly and welcoming. When I first arrived, I was greeted by a small flock of lovely chickens in the yard, which made me feel right at home from the start.

Absolutely everything I needed whilst staying in the area for work Raymond is a real character, really enjoyed chatting with him. Would reccomend!

A lovely house to stay in as a family or a couple. In a great location, about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Bolsover. The house itself is beautifully kept with many original features, particularly the open fire in the main sitting room, which can be used by guests. My personal favourite was the classic Ferguson record player with a few records provided to play. The next time we stay, I'll certainly be bringing a few of my own vinyl records. Lots of board games and jigsaws provided for the family and good sized kitchen, downstairs toilet and shower. Amazing views to the back of the house including a garden and field, with nothing overlooking the house. Overall, an excellent Airbnb and an ideal place to stay if you're visiting Bolsover. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my time here! Great for work and better than any noisy hotel. Bed was really comfortable and woke up late as it was so quiet. Cooked my own dinner both nights and was like a home from home. I will be back for sure.

We have just returned from a super weekend at Sally’s place. It looks beautiful in the photos but even exceeded the expectations in real life. The surroundings of the house are so tranquil and the setting very relaxing with the interior feeling luxurious and the beds being super comfy. The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Good walks straight from the accommodation and a pub not a long walk away too. This was perfect for our extended family celebrations and I would book it again in a heartbeat!

Stayed the night of our wedding and it was perfect. Private, peaceful, even got to have breakfast with a load of sheep! Exactly as described, very clean and clearly looked after.

We spent Easter weekend at Lodge Phoenix. The experience was unreal, the beauty unmatched. The place was tastefully decorated. Maria was very responsive and helped us out promptly. Highly highly recommend for a peaceful getaway

Terry’s place was fantastic for my hen weekend. It is a lovely place in a fantastic location which was exactly what we were looking for as we wanted a chilled weekend to spend time with friends. The hot tub was also great with towels being provided. Terry popped in throughout our stay to check how we were getting on. She was very attentive and close at hand if we needed anything.

Wow what a place, we had a truly lovely stay! Lucy is a fantastic host, very welcoming, friendly & informative! Lucy even left us a welcome basket! Filled with essentials plus prosecco, biscuits & a homemade lemon cake - Lucy went above and beyond! It is such a beautiful, private, welcoming and relaxing annex! Perfect for a break from busy day to day life! Fab for the puppies too, with a private secure outdoor garden and amazing location with great walks and trips. Fabulous property, fantastically quirky and really lovely hosts. Very cosy feel, plenty of hot water, heating available when you need it, lovely enclosed back garden to sit out or for last tiddles at night for your furry friends. Good internet if you need it, felt very safe, tucked away with parking for 2 large vehicles. Our dog felt very welcome and the dogs on site are super friendly. Thoughtful extras such as bread, milk, breakfast pastries, butter. Towels and bed linen were changed over for us mid stay which was really nice. Would highly recommend, we did consuder staying permanently!

Beautiful place , brilliant host. The place was in a lovely quiet area and Helen provided food and taxi recommendations as we were staying for a wedding, Helen baked us the most gorgeous cake and the place was beautifully kept and homely, would stay again!

We had a lovely , relaxing stay, and we especially enjoyed watching the cows moving around the field! The cottage was both cosy and spacious, well-equipped and comfortable for our family of six. There is lots to do in the area, as well as accessible for days out further afield. Laura was very quick to respond to any queries we had. We would definitely recommend for a real getaway!

Stayed one night , absolutely perfect for my requirements , in that I have dogs and there was a private area for them to mooch round in , as well as plenty of on leash space to walk them. The ‘Military Vehicle’ hut was a cosy more than adequate place to stay. I will most definitely use again and more than happy to recommend to friends 👍

Staying here was the perfect getaway - peaceful, surrounded by nature, cosy fireplace, beautiful facilities and responsive, kind host. Thank you Alison for a lovely stay, my mum and I had a wonderful time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Isobel was a fantastic host. We appreciated the extras left for us and enjoyed the log burning fire every evening during our stay. The surrounding area is stunning! Maps and guidence for local walks were provided, which we definitely took advantage of during the nice weather. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would highly recommend a stay at The Garden House.

Well what can we say about Lynda and Ray. They have been amazing hosts for over 6 weeks. In that time, we have tantrums and tears for the property and that is not the hosts crying. It was my colleagues as they didn't want to leave. Lynda and Ray have been amazing hosts. They have truly gone out above and beyond for everything that my colleagues could have wished for. The property has been perfect for everyone's needs, beautiful surroundings, spacious, but extremely peaceful despite only being less than 20 minutes from Melton Mowbray. There were more than enough bathrooms to stop the squabbling and queues in the morning rush for work. Should we ever be in the area, we will book with you again as you are amazing!

Perfect accommodation for us in a lovely tranquil location A visit to the farm shop next door is a must.
