It was a beautiful weekend gateway inside a bus while distancing yourself from daily business and emercing yourself in nature while having lots of insight to wild animal and living in the shoes of a farmer. We really enjoyed our stay and very thankful for the lovely couple who has been very kind and supportive while teaching us lots of new things. Great place to visit.

Fantastic stay and definitely want to stay in the Treehouse next time for a couple of days. The scented sauna was a superb experience, and overall, really loved the property, views and off-grid experience away from phones and emails. 10 stars. ☺️

Paisible retraite dans le Bus Rouge, aux portes de la péninsule de Banks. L’espace est très agréable et cosy, un « nid » dans lequel je me suis tout de suite sentie chez moi. J’ai apprécié le soin apporté à la décoration mais aussi les nombreuses choses utiles et agréables telles que fourneau pour un vrai feu de bois, bouillotte, grand lit, couvertures de réserve, jeux, produits ménagers écologiques, vaisselle, huile, thé, etc. La communication avec Arielle a été très fluide. Amazing stay, stayed by myself for 1 night to take my misses out on a day out (long distance) and was a wonderful stay. the misses loved it when she came by and saw the place. 100% will be staying again if I need a place.

Beautiful place with bush views. Seems very remote although it’s only a few minutes from Lorne by car. Host was extremely helpful and responsive and did everything she could to make us feel welcome.

This beautiful little hideaway is hands down the best Airbnb I have stayed in. I come here a few times a year and it feels like home. Otto and Susie are so accommodating whilst allowing for complete privacy. Their space is comfortable with every thoughtful touch you could want tucked into the coastal trees. Staying at the Yellowstone Caravan was an unforgettable experience. The space was very cozy. The host was thoughtful and responsive, providing great tips on the difficult weather situation leading our concerns about our access to property due to the causeway flooding but Carolyn was able to make sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. This was the perfect blend of adventure and comfort. Highly recommend to anyone visiting here who wants something a little unique and special!

We loved staying in the bus - love the 70s arts n crafts revival features like the leadlight windows and original art nouveau dresser. The kitchen building is well designed, so that it is somehow warm despite being slightly open to the elements. The "stairs" were a little daunting at first, but I was confidently trotting up and down by day 2. This is a camping experience with hard surfaces - if you like to go camping, you will love this. It was lovely having the fire going, and super relaxed. Really enjoyed the presence of fantails, tui and a grey warbler. Lovely bush walks close by and the local pub/hotel does a really good dinner. It rained lightly while we were there, but because most of the bus-to-wharepaku-to-kitchen track is via the bush, it's quite dry and sheltered. It was nice being off-grid, with enough wifi in the kitchen to send and receive messages - it did struggle with sending photos or accessing larger web pages. A lovely environment to sit and read and take naps.

Consider us charmed! Absolutely loved our stay in Flo so much so that we extended another night. It was the perfect getaway with our dog during a heatwave. The sandy beach on the lake, just a minute walk from the accommodation was our biggest highlight - we had the beach all to ourselves over 3 days. The option of using the paddleboard and canoe was a bonus. We also loved the outdoor bath - ideal for relaxing and spotting shooting stars. This is the ideal getaway to slow down and switch off. Make sure to bring plenty of food for cook ups on the bbq. Billy the border collie was gorgeous and very friendly towards our dog. We plan to return! Gaby and Lindsay were lovely and very accommodating hosts.

We had a fabulous stay at Donnas and we are return visitors. Donna is very easy and relaxed to deal with, her accomodation is really cool, its clean, its funky and very comfortable. To wake up to birdsong is magical and we felt it was very good value for money, and our doggie was also very much at home there. Love the bathroom facilities, so clean and so enjoyable with the rural surrounds. Great location and we will be back! Thanks Donna.

Lovely stay! Poppy was gorgeous and in such an amazing area. The bathroom and creek were an absolute highlight! A little close to main road, we also experienced a road closure due to flooding during our stay which made it difficult to get around but only added 10/15 mins to any trips. The rain also attracted a lot of mosquitoes which were slightly difficult to keep out of Poppy. Would have loved to see some animals but understand they like to move around.

My daughter and I had an unforgettable stay reconnecting in the surrounds of nature! Lisa's caravan was very comfortable, loved the retro vibes and great to chat to both John and Lisa's family. Highly recommended and stones throw away from Balingup and great day trips to both Donnybrook & Bridgetown! :)

This place is so beautifully kept. An authentic 'camp' vibe, everything you need, and stunning gardens. Extremely comfy and warm beds - great night's sleep. My son loved having his breaky in the rustic camp kitchen area nearby to 'Billy the Kid', an adorable goat. Wendy was a very welcoming host and takes pride in her beautiful homestead. If we're able to revisit one day...I'll be sure to pack some wine and cheese for the evening (although the local IGA isn't far) and some boots for the dewy grass in the morning. The place had everything we needed though. Lovely spot.

What a little Gem!! Such a beautiful place to stay. Rick was amazing and super friendly, our retro caravan was super comfy, perfect for our dogs and the locations is ridiculously beautiful! Beautiful walks around the property. If your your looking for a blissful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to shops and beaches look no further! 💗💗

My partner and I had such a lovely few nights at the Flying Fox. Jane and Kelly have a beautifully unique spot surrounding by beautiful native flora and fauna. We spent the night star gazing and listening to the Kiwi! Such a special spot, highly reccommend if you want to escape the hustle and bustle for a bit!

We had a wonderful stay here, it was our first time glamping and safe to say it has become a core memory for my partner and I. Jack and Susanna are wonderful hosts and we felt right at home with their three dogs and many horses. Would highly recommend if you've never been glamping before and aren't too squeamish about a few bugs.

Had a great weekend at Chris’s. Such a cute and relaxing spot. Good location as well, 10-15 min into Torquay Foreshore. Highly recommend this place.

This is honestly one of the most incredible air bnb stays I have ever experienced. The photos do not do this place justice. The character and the tranquility is so beautiful. So much land to wander, watch the local wildlife and bath under the stars in the outdoor bath. So many little hidden rooms/areas to watch the world go by. So happy with our stay, one night was not enough. Back for a longer stay soon! Thank you so much

This is the perfect balance between camping and luxury! We stayed just one night and immediately I’d regretted not booking on for a second. The yurt was very cozy and packed with everything one needs for the night. This was a very private set up with its own bathroom and kitchen, lined with fairy lights. Only 6 mins from the russle creek falls which was perfect and I definitely recommend following Casey’s advice and seeing the glow worms! Truely a unique experience!

My partner and I loved being off grid - in the lush forest. We slow cooked on the fire and swam in the river. The cottage had a mystical, eclectic, antique vibes and the whole place and surrounds was perfect for some down time. A truly unique and awesome experience.

My partner and I (and our pup) stayed in the caravan for 5 nights and loved it. The property is beautiful, quiet and in the best part of Crescent Head - close to dog beaches / surf etc. The caravan was cosy and comfortable and held up really well in the rain. The hosts were lovely and super helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great time during our stay. Camp Irog is such a peaceful place.
