Huisjes in Orange County

We had the perfect stay for our Thanksgiving. Lots of toys for the kiddo, backyard for the dogs to run around, and a well-stocked kitchen for all our cooking needs (utensils, platters, etc). Sadly we didn’t get to use the play set or the fire pit due to the weather, but we hope to come back when weather is slightly warmer!

Chateau René is the perfect peaceful escape. The home cozy and well maintained - exactly as pictured. The view made every morning feel like a dream. René was so warm, responsive, and accommodating. He shared great local recommendations and clear instructions for the house, which made settling in a breeze. The most special part of my stay was getting engaged here! René secretly coordinated with my now-fiancé and friend to make it all happen. His excitement and willingness to help meant a lot to us. Overall, 10/10 stay. We’ll definitely be back!

A hidden gem! This spot has a ton of character and the hosts are awesome! The lake and surrounding area is beautiful as well, with plenty to do for the outdoorsy type and cute shops and great restaurants within minutes. would highly recommend and hope to find time for a return trip!

The adorable carriage house was just perfect for my husband and me and our dog! We were in town for a wedding, a visit with our son, and a retirement ceremony, so we stayed for over a week. The house was cute, clean, spacious, and located in the lovely town of Cornwall. We went for walks in the morning through the town, worked from the house during the day, and went out in the evening into neighboring towns. It was very close to Beacon and West Point where some of our activities were. Catherine and Jay were wonderful hosts and we would love to stay here again and also venture out to one of their other properties that they host!!

Had a wonderful stay at The Green House. Home was exactly as pictured and very clean. Ada and Miranda were wonderful, responsive hosts and we loved the proximity to various hiking trails. The kitchen was stocked with all of the dishes and utensils to make your meals. Truly a peaceful oasis!

A nuestra familia nos encantó, viaje con li esposa, mis dos hijos menores, mi suegra y cuñado y nos pareció espectacular, de ensueño su hogar. Los cuartos elevados en tan pequeño espacio nos pareció muy acogedor. La casa es igual a las fotografías y en la época que fuimos para pasar navidad se sentía muy cálida internamente y una vista inimaginable del lago. Hay muchos lugares cerca para hacer actividades de snowboarding y tubing en Mount Peter. Lo único que podría mejorar es el lavabo de la cocina que se detenía el agua sin razón alguna por lo que no pudimos lavar bien los trastes, pero del resto muy bonito incluida la chimenea.

I had a great stay! The Airbnb met all my expectations—it was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. The space had everything I needed, and the atmosphere made it easy to relax. The owners were also super responsive and helpful with all my questions, which made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely stay here again!

The environment was peaceful and we woke up to a family of deer almost every morning. It had the essentials we needed for our stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we did find the cleaning fee to be quite high considering all that was required for checkout.

As I told the host multiple times, this place is beautiful! It was exactly what we needed for a couples getaway in the Catskills! Most activities and restaurants we visited were within 20-30min away plus 40 min away for a day trip to the Kartrite Indoor Waterpark! Will definitely keep this place in mind for future bookings!

The home was very cozy and host was very responsive and helpful. Sleeps 10 (master on the main floor, 2 beds upstairs and 2 in the basement). Main floor bathroom is in the master bedroom and then there is another one upstairs. No bathroom in the basement. Beds were very comfortable and house temperature was adjustable. Bring your own fire-wood if you want to use the fire-pit!

Jacqueline is a perfect host. We loved the local recommendations she provided About the lake house- The pictures do not do justice to what the beauty of the view is. Right from the sunset to the sunrise.. everything about the place is beautiful. The house is pretty and very welcoming. We enjoyed every bit of our stay. Can’t wait to go back!!

Definitely would stay here again! Lovely place on a beautiful lake and nice, peaceful neighborhood. Only thing I have to say is to definitely update the pictures because the upstairs bedroom and dining room don’t look like that anymore but no biggie at all! There’s a lot of things super close to the house. Host was extremely nice and very responsive when I had to message them!

I want to start by saying that the host is beyond kind. Jack is a stand up guy and the perfect host. I do not think we could have been more fortunate to choose this house. The backyard amenities are stunning. Sitting on the dock outside was incredible. A family of swans lives close to the house and we would watch them in the mornings. The hot tub was such a nice bonus. Jack clearly takes great care to ensure that his guests feel welcomed and at home and I could not appreciate his kindness any more than I already do. I truly can not wait to come back and stay again as this weekend was really one to remember. We thank you Jack for an amazing experience and we’ll see you again real soon!
