It once belonged to the Swythamley Hall estate, where they grew fruit and vegetables for the people of the beautiful, impressive hall. If you are looking to have a relaxing break away from life’s stresses then The Woodland Watch is perfect. The hut is warm and cosy with all modern amenities set on a working dairy farm. Unwind with the beautiful views and stunning sunsets whilst listening to the woodland wildlife. There are also many lovely walks in our area and good access to local shops. We also have a two bedroomed property called Rock End Retreat located at the same address if guests wish to bring a larger group.

The Higger Tor Shepherd's Hut

A quirky self-catering shepherd's hut in the Peak District close to and with stunning views of Higger Tor and the village of Hathersage. This shepherd's hut, situated on a working farm, sleeps two people in a king size bed with separate shower room. A welcome pack is included and parking on site. Sorry no dogs as this is a working sheep farm. The Higger Tor Shepherds Hut is sister to the Stanage Edge Shepherd's Hut making this an ideal site for two couples to holiday together.

Shepherds Hut on our farm, close to Alton Towers

The Shepherds Hut is nestled in our walled garden. It has all you need for a relaxing break including lovely views, wood burning stove, bathroom, mini kitchen and a comfy bed area. The clever design allows both a dining table with chairs or comfy seating to relax by the wood burner. Our biofuel hot tub can be hired for your stay. Meet our animals whilst wandering our fields or walk from the property in to Dimmingsdale & Alton village. We’re a 5 minute drive to Alton Towers.

“The Goods Van” at Stoop Farm

Relax in total comfort, in our converted 1950s railway goods van. Once common place on farms around the Peak District this little gem is far removed from the animal shelter it once was! Fitted out to the highest quality, featuring a king sized bed, comfy sofa, kitchen, log burner and smart TV, etc. Something quite special, situated in its own secluded area, a few steps away from the magnificent views of Chrome hill and the Dove valley beyond.
