Brenda and peter are gems! We couldnt have asked for a better stay. The cottages have everything you need and more, the setting is peaceful yet not too secluded, and Brenda and peter are two of the nicest, most considerate people youll meet! We loved the stay so much that were already planning our trip back. When the last day of our visit arrived, we had to make ourselves leave. We could have stayed there much longer. Its our new happy place. You really do show up as strangers and leave as family. 10/10 do stay here.

This place is right out of a story book. Every night when we returned back there was the most beautiful deer walking through. Brenda was so friendly. When I say this place is so peaceful it really was. Will return 100%. Thank You so much for making my really sad first Christmas without both my parents a enjoyable one.

I absolutely loved this place! Very easy to find, great location on the lake and very peaceful! Leon has boats, kayaks and canoes to rent, firewood to purchase on site and was so helpful with everything. The home has everything I needed for my week stay, and was grateful to be able to bring my dog. I will definitely be returning to this little piece of heaven!!

This spot was great for a quick couple of days away. The host left great recommendations for food and things to do. He was very helpful and responsive! Super easy check in and check out with clear instructions! Comfortable bed and nice set for a tiny home! Would definitely stay again for another little break up in Bangor!

This location is absolutely beautiful. It’s a cute little place that is enjoyable to wake up, drink coffee, and enjoy the views. It was perfect for our family. I reached out to host a couple times for questions and they were super responsive and helpful. They have everything available for you too: games, fishing poles, fire starters, kayaking. They thought of it all! The roads to the house are super bumpy and uneven ha. We learned to navigate around the ruts like pros by the end of the week. You won’t be disappointed if you stay here.

My family and I, along with my two dogs, had a fantastic time! The cabin was incredibly charming with beautiful views. If you're seeking a relaxing getaway, this is the place to be! Toby was extremely helpful and responsive. He answered all my questions and assisted me in finding the cabin when I got lost. I would definitely return again! My husband and I had a great stay. We really enjoyed the fire pit outside in the evenings. The home was very cozy and had everything we needed. Close drive to Bangor.

Picture perfect A-frame cabin right near a river. Rebecca had a fire going for us when we arrived since the weather was inclement. We were given very clear instructions to arrive, it was a great experience and very delightful. Just wish we could’ve stayed for longer!

LB’s cabin is very charming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! It’s exactly as described and we had an amazing time detached from everything else. We stayed here as part of our plan to visit Acadia national park and it was a 45 min drive one way, so very convenient. Maine is absolutely wonderful in October! We really enjoyed hiking around the cabin, cooking in the kitchen, and taking in the fall colours. LB is also a very responsive and accommodating host!

What a fantastic place, just a few feet from the lake. This cabin is so comfortable. Great amenities, and decorated beautifully. A great place for couples exploring the area. Priced great and very cozy

We stayed here during the fall and got to enjoy all of the fall colors on the property! It is a bit out of the way of Bar Harbor, if you’re visiting Acadia, but for the price and rustic feel of the space you can deal with the drive.

My family rented both moose's lair and bear's den at the same time. it was a wonderful way to have some privacy and still wake up with one another. We'd each other wondering in the spacious yard or watching the river every morning. The cabins and peacefulness of the location were incredible and we often talked about what a perfect location it was for us to gather. In warmer weather it would be an ideal place to bring your kayaks or canoe and swim. We were greeted by bald eagles every day, and had fun exploring Katadhin area woods and baxter state park. Mark was VERY responsive when we couldn't initially find the driveway in the dark. He called and helped guide us by using Google earth. He also let me know he is taking steps to rectify the lack of clarity. I'd still encourage people to find the cabins in the daytime. Kate's place was an amazing get away for my husband, dog and I. very peaceful and both host and cohost were amazing

This is such a special place! The cabin is beautifully designed and the views are wonderful! David left perfect instructions as to how to live “off grid” and is quick with responses if needed. So much to explore durning any season- from mountains to coast! Hope to return- maybe during blueberry season!!

Just had a wonderful stay at Linda's cabin. For those who love getting back to basics it's an absolute dream. We came with two kids (11 and 14) and had an incredible time. The location is beautiful and it's only a 25min drive to Acadia National Park. Plenty of options to eat out too within an easy 15min drive. It's rustic, as descibed, so bring your sleeping bag and thermals if you're staying later in the year because when the wind blows it gets through the wall cracks and window gaps, but the log burner is a beast and keeps you toasty if you feed it. A highly recommended stay for those who love nature!
