we spent a week in Matthew's place and would be happy to come back on a future trip. The house is large and full of good stuff - games, kitchen stuff, and more. The immediate surroundings are beautiful as is the view from the porch. Matthew is extremelya helpful and thoughtful. He really cared that we will enjoy our stay. Indeed a five star host. Ocean view is about 90 mins from Kona airport. I suggest not arriving at dark the first time - the area is dark and following the maps app we entered one driveway too early - backing up at darkness was scary. Make sure to follow Matthew's instructions and not just the app. The driveway to the house is not fully paved. However, after you see the way once at daylight it becomes easier. overall, we could use the place as a most comfortable place from which we could reach volcano national park several times and many beaches. it was good to be back to a cosy place at night. We would be happy to do this again!

The wyndham resort was nice and clean. Didn't stay on the property much as we went out on daily adventures. It was nice having a stocked kitchen and didn't need to buy anything in order to cook meals. Very close to Foodland, Hanalei Bay and not far from Kapaa. Would stay again.

Bill's condo was exactly as described. The beautiful view from the lanai is definitely the highlight, with lots of room and a comfy lounge chair to spend time enjoying watching turtles pop in and out of the waves. All the amenities ensure you feel right at home, with super comfy king bed, extra pillows and linen, our week-long stay was perfect. Bonus, you are just a few minutes walking distance from the harbour, the ocean center (an absolute must!!) and Seascape restaurant (went for lunch twice, so yummy). Communication prior to arrival went well, but everything went so smoothly that we never had to reach out once we settled in. Washer and dryer were very convenient, we left with suitcase ready for our next adventure. Thank you Bill for sharing such a jem :-)

This house was great for our girls trip. The kitchen was well stocked and spacious. The dining area was perfect for 4 people. The beds were very comfortable and bedrooms were nicely decorated.

nice place right on the beach. The building is old and there was construction going on in the unit above us but that is to expected for an older building. The unit was clean and well stocked, especially with coffee Being on the ground floor was very convenient for accessing the beach from the Lanai instead of having to go through the main building. The screens to the Lanai do need to be replaced but they functioned for what we needed. Loved how beautiful and private the sandy beach was. Never busy; it was unusual to see more than 10 people on the beach at once and we saw turtles everyday in the water and on the beach.

5-Stars. This place was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and great communication from the host. Really well laid out instructions on getting in and out and no ridiculous cleaning rules before check-out (one of my biggest pet peeves, so kudos!). With what I am about to say please understand I DO recommend this place but there are a couple of things I wish I was better prepared for: Parking is at the top floor which wasn't my favorite to get in and out of (but parking is FREE) - so we ended up doing a lot of walking around the area so we didn't have to take the car out. The beach towels are also your pool towels so be prepared for laundry (not a big deal they have washer on site but you will do laundry). The bedroom/bathroom doors are frosted glass so light from your room will be quite visible in the pull-out bed room so with a 2yo it meant lights out at his bedtime (not a huge deal). I still highly recommend this place, probably the best value short-term rental in Waikiki
