Our extended family of 14 stayed for 10 days and had a great time. A three minute walk to the beach was the highlight for the kids. The beach was never crowded, had sand expanses to spread out on and able to wade into the surf quite aways. When we were back at the bungalow, the pool was almost always in use. The place is private, but Karla, Alberto and Luis were available whenever we had questions.Karla is an amazing chef and we had many of her meals. Meals were well balanced with delicious fresh juicy fruit. She offered to make American food, but the Costa Rican recipes were too good to pass up. Even the picky eaters had plenty to eat. They were helpful in lining up outings for us and transporting us to a health clinic when our youngest arrived feeling sick. They made us feel like family and welcome. We picked Johnny's Beach Bungalow because we wanted to have a Costa Rican experience that put us in touch with Costa Rican people and culture. We were not disappointed

We were looking forward a remote location to settle for some months. This was a great sanctuary to be alone and explore the empty beach. The WiFi was very good , even when other local services were unavailable. The neighbour made us delicious food when requested. A great adventure.

Beautiful cabin with an excellent location overlooking Playa Callejones! There is a nice lookout area and just a short walk down to the beach. The cabin was perfect for our group and is a great spot for a relaxing break. Beatrice was great and communicated all information clearly and responded quickly to help us sort out a small issue. Would definitely visit again!

Lauren's place is a true slice of paradise! It's perfectly sized for a couple in a nice secluded area tucked behind one of the most desolate, beautiful beaches we'd ever seen with our own private walkway to get there. The yard is huge and gorgeous! You can hear the ocean waves from the yard making it a super peaceful retreat. The kitchen was very well stocked for us to cook meals and even make fresh batidos every day! Junquillal is a beautiful beach and is a 45 minute drive (or less) to Tamarindo, but a significantly quieter area if that's what you're looking for. We'd highly recommend the place and would love to stay again!!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful place! It was walking distance to everything in Nosara, including the beach, shops and restaurants. We especially appreciated the easy distance to carry our surf boards to the beach. It was lovely to swim and lounge by the pool in the hot afternoons. The three separate buildings gave plenty of privacy for three couples. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking and there was a lovely covered outdoor dining space. We would recommend staying here to everyone and would love to come back someday!

Excellent. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour chez Hans, qui est avec Daniela très réactif et propose toujours de vous aider. La maison est comme sur les photos, une maison de plage SUR la plage de Sámara, donc idéalement placée, avec une supérette en face, LA poissonnerie de Sámara a un paté de maison et un restaurant de plage à 50m. Et le bruit des vagues pour s'endormir, nous reviendrons c'est certain. Merci mille fois Hans & Daniela !

Excelente lugar, muy bonito, cerca de la playa, el alojamiento estaba impecable y la zona de estar de afuera es una maravilla súper bonito, el lugar es seguro y los anfitriones muy amables, nos encantaría volver de lo bonito que es, recomendado al 100%

El lugar es lindísimo, cerca de muchas playas, tenía todo lo que necesitábamos. La señal del WiFi no es muy buena, si buscan trabajar desde ahí no es lo ideal, pero para nosotros que íbamos de vacaciones no era tan necesario.

Federica is full of grace and wisdom. Her daily yoga is extremely special, as are the reiki treatments. We could walk everywhere and enjoy the treats of Samara. They have a little oasis that is so special.

I really enjoyed the condo, which is situated just a minute from the beach. The check in process with Hilda was easy. The condo is well equipped with all the necessities and has a great view of the ocean. The location is secure and there are monkeys living in the trees behind the condo. I would certainly stay here again!

Great spot on the playa pelada side of nosara. Hosts were very helpful in recommending activities and arranging for necessities during our visit. House had the basics and we had a great time in the pool after long days at the beach. Families with younger kids should be aware the primary bedroom is in a separate structure from the other rooms and kids have to go up and down stairs past a pool to get there. Worked out great for us but just a note!

We loved every minute of our stay at casa de calma. The house is the nicest we’ve stayed in, the patio and pool being the star! We loved walking to nosara, watching the monkeys, having breakfast at sunrise and watching the sunset on the beach. Perfection!

Great place to spend a relaxing vacation. Douglas was very responsive and the property was in a beautiful location. If you arent familiar with Costa Rica, be prepared the roads and long travel times. The location is in a beautiful location, but doesnt have alot of locations near the property. We were looking for that so it was perfect. Douglas' instructions and recommendations were very helpful and we really enjoyed the pool on property. We also had private chefs and massages on site which were great.

This has to be one of my favorite stays. I really enjoyed coffee with the birds every morning. The pool was great the house had everything you need and more. I absolutely loved the location and how easy it was to walk to the beach. It’s a great place to relax unwind and catch a beautiful sunset. I would recommend 10/10.

Great stay! Easy walk to the beach and to town. Great shared pool area with very friendly residents within the condo complex. Definitely recommend staying here for a quiet and relaxing Costa Rica vacation.

We absolutely loved staying at The Logan during our time in Samara, what a gem of a property! We rented all four units for our crew of 8 and the accommodations were perfect, giving everyone privacy and their own kitchens//bathrooms with the common area outside where we could hang by the pool and enjoy some drinks/music during downtime. Being at the top of the main drag was a great location. We could easily walk everywhere in town and had the grocery stores & numerous restaurants very close for when we needed anything. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach and it was quick to run back to the place if we needed to during the day. Jamie was a great host, very quick to respond to any questions and she had great recommendations on restaurants. Our time in Samara was incredible and our choice on the Logan was a key part of the experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drei traumhafte Monate in diesem wunderschönen Haus! Die Ruhe war himmlisch und die Lage direkt am Meer unschlagbar - fast täglich sind wir schwimmen gegangen. Die Aufteilung des Hauses war perfekt für uns. Und das Privileg in so einem Haus zu wohnen war für uns aussergewöhnlich. Danke Roxana. Als Gastgeberin warst du sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hast alles wunderbar organisiert. Diese fantastischen Wochen werden unvergesslich bleiben und wir wollen gerne wiederkommen!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

We are still on cloud nine after an absolutely SUBLIME stay at Casa Alegre! Chiara was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our entire stay, and the house and surroundings were exactly as magical as described. We chose to rent a car at the airport as we planned to do a lot of exploration during our stay, and getting around was not a problem at all as long as you plan for slower traffic pretty much everywhere. If we ever plan another trip to this part of Costa Rica, we would stay here again without a second thought.

This place (the loft) was absolutely beautiful and sits in the most lush beautiful tropical gardens. This is a typical great Studio Saxe tropical modern design. It is central to most things and we walked to everything over the weekend but if you want to explore some of the other beaches there are tuk-tuks you can easily take. Nosara has gone through some major renovations - with brick-paved streets and drainage. At the end of dry season this area of Guanacaste is always much greener than other areas like Tamarindo. The beach is great. The atmosphere is great for a chilled and relaxed weekend (or longer) getaway. The interior design is incredible and there is everything you would need. Plenty of places to sit and relax inside and outside on the oversized terrace that looks out over the tropical gardens.

The location is excellent, it’s right in Samara Center. You can walk to the beach in about 2 minutes. Only thing to note is it’s not exactly a house, it’s a hotel. It’s three separate rooms, the one in the center has the kitchen and living room. If your a big group with couples, it’s great. All in all the place is clean, in a great location, and very friendly staff.

The pictures give a true glimpse of this beautiful house and location. As 3 couples we were very comfortable and enjoyed spending the mornings under the cabana drinking coffee and enjoying the view, while early evenings were for sipping cocktails and watching the beautiful sunsets from the pool. The on-sight caretaker, Gama, is very accessible and helpful, although you hardly know he's around. Our daily greeting by the house dog was a highlight and we were all sad to say goodbye to her! Georgina was very responsive to questions and helped us reserve a private chef for daily breakfasts (PasCam- highly recommend!) and TPV for our day long tour to the Rincon de la Vieja (also highly recommend!). There were several local restaurants that we truly enjoyed (Lochitos and Amigos), and a Super Mercado (like a 7-11) for filling up on the few groceries you might need. Playa Avellanas is about 15 minutes away and worth the drive down the unpaved roads for great body surfing. Plus you can relax at one of Lola's beach tables for awesome drinks and food. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone not wanting to be in the thick of Tamarindo, but still close enough to get there and other places easily. Plus you just can't beat the view from Coco Flotante!

Absolutely Paradise! We couldn’t have been more impressed. Heather and her team were super easy to communicate with, and everyone at the resort is top-notch! We can’t wait to return. Pura Vida!

Wonderful Condo. Hosts are very kind and understanding and the location is perfect for those looking for a relaxing getaway. being able to walk to the beach very quickly is a huge plus.

Our stay in Nosara was absolutely perfect! The property is stunning, with gorgeous common areas that make it easy to relax and soak in the tropical vibes. The path to the beach is incredible—just a short walk through beautiful nature, where we spotted amazing wildlife along the way. The location couldn’t be better—so close to the beach, yet also just a short walking distance from great restaurants and shops. We loved biking through the maritime forest, exploring the area, and taking in the natural beauty all around. The pool is one of the best we’ve experienced, thoughtfully set up for a seamless transition from the beach. Beyond the incredible setting, our stay was comfortable, safe, and truly rejuvenating. It warmed our bones and our hearts, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this special place!
