Very nice, spacious home with plenty of amenities. Loved the nice hot tub on the deck. Convenient location not too far from conveniences but still off the beaten track and away from the hustle and bustle.

We throughly enjoyed our stay in the Barn Loft. Andrea and Steve are gracious hosts. Prior to our arrival, we received information to prepare for our stay. We received timely communication on the date of our arrival. The property is even better than the pictures display. We truly felt welcome and at home. The furnishings are cozy and the beds are so comfortable. Our family enjoyed meeting the hosts, exploring the property, and the opportunity to rest and to relax in such a beautiful scenic area. We appreciated the fact that our dog could accompany us on this trip. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to returning.

We truly enjoyed our weekend at "Idyllic Mountain Home - Dog Friendly/great views"! It was all of that and more! Charlotte provided detailed info on how to run the wood stove (early March can get chilly) and we were warm and cozy on both levels all weekend. Other info about the house was very detailed. Our two corgis loved wandering around the property, which is elevated and very private! We took a hike with them on Saturday off of Skyline Drive, which was only about a half hour away; lovely! Dinner Saturday night was a milestone birthday celebration at The Inn at Little Washington, and it was worth the splurge! There's a small area near the bedroom where we set up the dogs crates and they were very comfy while we were gone. I highly recommend Charlotte's home for a weekend getaway!!

We had three couples and two infants stay for 4 nights. Great value for the location and home. The house is well maintained and full of the nice amenities as described (grill, fire pit, sauna, etc.). Having a bathroom for each bedroom was very nice. There are some nice additional touches like full-access streaming services and a kitchen/grill actually stocked with cooking supplies. The host was very communicative and accommodating. I’d say the house is smaller than one might expect, the driveway is steep and doesn’t provide much of a yard aside from the fire pit, and we didn’t use the downstairs movie/game room very much, which I think could use some sprucing up with better furniture.

We loved our stay. It was in a private, peaceful location and exactly as described. The house was clean and well stocked. Lisa was very communicative, and we loved the personal touches they had within the house. We would definitely stay there again.

Connie's Rock Cottage was amazing! much thought was put into this cottage. Firewood and fire starter for the wood stove on chilly nights, robes we used for getting to and from the private hot tub just steps outside the back door,map of entire 550 acres of land including the wonderful paved walkway which meanders through the property. This was the mosr exceptionally prepared kitchen we have seen in out travels. Tons of utensils, a full set of potsand pans, dish towels, trivets, cutting boards and cooking sheets! We love to cook together when we travel and this kitchen was big enough for 2! We got some amazing pictures all over the farm. The lack of light pollution allowed us to enjoy the stars and Pink Full Moon in all their glory! We will be back to enjoy this cottage again!

The house was exactly as advertised; clean, well-appointed, and perfect for our group getaway. We especially loved that each bedroom was on its own floor, which gave everyone plenty of privacy. One of the highlights of our stay was the shuffleboard table, we had so many fun and competitive games throughout the weekend. Would absolutely stay here again!

Such a fun stay, would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful and removed location with many things to do nearby (within an hour or less). My family stayed here for a week and we absolutely loved it. The house is beautiful and comfortable and clean. If we weren’t hanging out at the house playing games, we took a day trip to the Shenandoah valley national Park, a day trip to Washington DC, and a few smaller trips to nearby historical sites. We left wishing we had longer to stay and enjoy the quiet surrounding of this Airbnb. Gretchen was absolutely wonderful, she was proactive to communicate and extremely responsive. Would stay here again!
